    Current configuration : Dahua camera with hard wired splitter mated with another splitter with the only out put being cat 5...That then runs 100 feet and at that point that cat 5 cable in put into a splitter, one part of the splitter gors to the 12v 2a transformer and the cat 5 connector on that...

    From the poe splitter at the camera end I use cat 5 cable which terminates 100 feet away at the switch and power outlet for the POE transformer, might 12v 3A be an option?

    Mike I think I'm getting it....Make Netgear first in chain coming straight from Modem then netgear out to wan in on 3100. I did that and info screens for 3100 showed no connectivity I'll did deeper though, thanks !

    Hi mike I did that made the 3100 primary with 192.168.0.1 and the netgear on the backend 192.168.1.1 even My Plex media server port fowards but BI won't. the only way to view my LOCAL cameras is by using 192.168.1.4444:4555 for example not the WAN as it was before the 3100 came into the mix...

    32gb ram vs 64gb ram and an observation with Gigabit internet

    Would 64 gb of ram as opposed to 32 gb of ram do anything meaningful or overkill? Also, I have FIOS gigabit 940/880 use to have 400/35 with optimum Now remotely, those 13 6 and 8 mp main home cams show up on my display grid as fluid as can be ( of course upload went from 35 to 880 !)

    Timelapse problem

    I always timelapse on many cameras at a frame every 5 or 10 seconds. This time, with another camera Dahua IPC A46 It recorded, but with each frame being displayed for 10 seconds then the next frame for 10 seconds etc, etc. More like a slideshow than a timelapse. What might I have done wrong...

    Brand new reinstall of BI4 20+ cameras averaging 60% cpu utilization for hours, enter license 100 % Got rid of overlays, enabled direct to disk. ALL OF IT LOL Everything just goes batty when license is entered ! Can't figure this out despite the tips here
