    The alerts/clips window shows all alerts/clips but the date does not advance automatically from day to day. I have to advance the date manually using the calender to see today's alerts since yesterday.. Isn't the date suppose to change automatically from day to day?

    I think the problem is a faulty connection. After I first logged on to the camera and changed the ip to DHCP I twisted the cam about 10 degrees clockwise to align it so that I could point it in a more convenient vertical direction.     Maybe so but the cable checked out ok with my network cable tester before install. I found the reset button on the cam and reset the camera, and it got its static ip again. So that means it was reset, but I still can't access it. Guess I'll have to try another cable and reconnect it to my laptop.
