BlueIris on Proxmox VM - cpu up and down?

I would still try with more memory allocated if possible (i'm guessing you don't have much available though). And I'd also not assign all 4 cores to one VM as it seems like that would introduce a high probability that the VM would have to spend a lot of time waiting for the entire CPU to be...

BlueIris on Proxmox VM - cpu up and down?

Setting CPU type to host probably won't affect this either but it does not hurt. That memory allocation of 2.5 GiB is really low even if you've modded Windows to trim the fat. Does your node have enough RAM that you could allocate more to see if it makes a difference?

BlueIris on Proxmox VM - cpu up and down?

How many cores had you assigned to the VM? I'm assuming it is 5 and that the CPU usage spikes therefore are the result of one thread getting busy. It seems very unlikely this is a consequence of virtualization. Based on that graph it looks like precisely every 6 minutes something causes CPU...

Performance issues when using Blue Iris on a dual XEON Gold 5120 server

The Xeon Gold 5120 has much worse single threaded performance than i7-9700K. That will be your primary limiting factor. It takes strong single threaded performance for Blue Iris to be able to play video without dropping frames, and even the most powerful systems struggle to handle 4K video at...

    Blue Iris sold out?

@Mike probably just needs to obtain more license keys from the developer for reselling. I doubt the IPCT store has the capability of generating new license keys on demand.

    Blue Iris UI3

I haven't seen that happen but I haven't exported anything in a while. Is Blueiris.exe actually crashing when you click on them? If you right click the clips in UI3 you should be able to choose Download clip without having to open it the normal way at all and that would have a much higher...

IVS not catching super obvious activity

I believe the camera essentially draws a box around the moving object (the delivery person) and probably watches for some part of that box to travel from one side of a line to the other side. Maybe only the center of the box has to cross a line, or maybe the entire box, e.g. all 4 corners, need...

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet AND Blue Iris

That is awesome performance for a tiny indoor antenna. Starlink and fixed wireless ISPs with their bulky antennas could only dream of delivering that, and they charge way more too.

Webcam captures DHL cargo plane crash in Lithuania

Almost certainly default/auto everything and 20-30 FPS. These are random videos from news and social media, not from ipcamtalk camera nerds. We're lucky they aren't cell phone videos of a 15 year old LCD television with a bunch of people talking in the background and smearing finger grease on...

About to pull the trigger on Server 2019

A Server version of Windows will work fine. However unless the server edition offers a specific feature you want and can't get on Home or Pro, then it is not worth the markup. The Server editions are not inherently more stable or anything like that. For the most part they just come with extra...

    Alternative to ZeroTier?

Your performance issues with Zerotier are likely due to it deciding to "relay" the traffic through a zerotier-operated server. Tailscale may or may not have the same issue. It is certainly worth a try. I would also make sure IPv6 is enabled and working at the location that is using Starlink...

Blue Iris with new empire tech 3x camera

It would be like having 3 cameras in Blue Iris, except they would all use the same IP address, user name, and password. I would configure them as: Make: Dahua Model: *RTSP Main: (default) /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 Sub: (default) /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1 But replace...

    PWA - hide address bar?

There are quite a lot of details that need to be gotten exactly right, so it can be tricky. Based on your log I see that you disabled the unencrypted HTTP protocol for the admin console, so you would need to use the https://127.0.0.1:8080/ link (from a browser running on the same system as the...

    PWA - hide address bar?

The address bar is showing because web browsers these days are becoming increasingly hostile to websites that do not use HTTPS. So they force the address bar to be shown in order to better expose the fact that your connection is not encrypted and the server's identity is not verified. If you...

Disabling sub stream causes UI3 to show a cropped image of the camera.

I hadn't noticed any such issue before. Very weird. I'm glad Ken found the cause :). Blue Iris does some really funky stuff sometimes.

BI live screen lags but reordering's do not?

I advise you to download PingTracer on the Blue Iris machine. This is a program that repeatedly pings network devices and plots the response time on a graph. In the Host field put in the IP addresses of some of your affected cameras (separate each address by comma or space). For good measure...

You'll have to do a screen recording or something. We're not sure what you are describing.

    Road Rage Dumba$$

Yikes. Question of the day: If you are the SUV driver, what do you do when an enraged woman comes out of the car you collided with, shrieking curses and demanding you open the door? Is it legally acceptable to get away from crazy first or are you supposed to just lock up and call the police...
