Camhi PTZ Camera stuck in loop reboot

I had that happen to me once, it ended up being the power supply. It was originally POE when the issue started and stored the reboot when I switched to a 120v power adapter.

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

I have 11 Dahua cams, most 5442 models, and have been able to add them all to my UDM-Pro. I do get a message saying that I am approaching the limit. As I am only able to only record continuous video but no events, I’m holding off getting a Unifi NVR until more Protect features are added. At...

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Thanks, but I had then setup correctly. I used @jpc-s4 advice and was able to add the cams by clicking the "?" and selecting Advance Options.

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Does anyone know how to let Protect see the cams that are on a separate VLAN on a UDM-Pro?

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

I finally got the Early Release installed and switch the settings for 3rd party cameras, but no cameras found. I do have my IPCs on a separate VLAN, assuming that is the problem. Is there any way to fix this without having to reconfigure my IPC’s IP addresses?

Adding EmpireTech System to Existing Ubiquiti Network

My apologies if I gave it incorrect information. I was going off of personal experience from around 2019ish. I would have to look up old posts but When I first got my Dahua system from Andy (NVR5216-16P-4ks2E x 1, T5442TM-ZE x 3, T5442TM-AS x 1, T2431T-AS x 2, EW5531-AS x 1), I was having issues...

That statement is false, the POE LAN is isolated.

Adding EmpireTech System to Existing Ubiquiti Network

To clarify, if you have a monitor and mouse plugged into the NVR, you can access the cameras that way. I have my NVR in an attic (need to drag out the ladder to access) and prefer to make changes via a pc on my home network; that is the limitation. Another reasons I now believe in non-POE NVRs...

Adding EmpireTech System to Existing Ubiquiti Network

Sorry for being late to the party. From personal experience: My biggest dislike of the NVR with POE as that access to the cameras UI was very difficult since the NVR used an internal LAN. There have been posts that state to connect a laptop via network cable to the NVR and change the IP address...

    Help getting better picture.

I agree with everyone, and not looking for miracle cures. I am more interested in covering my property than reading lic plates. The only reason I got the Z4 was because I wasn’t sure if the 12mm would have been enough on the variable zoom turret. I was just wondering if tweeting the settings...

    Help getting better picture.

Hello all, I have been gone for a while and back for part of the summer. This afternoon the police knocked on my door; there was a break-in down the street and asked if my cameras might have pick up the car as it was leaving. Most of my cameras are 5442T-ZE; I usually get the variable zoom so I...

Live Streaming a Church Service on Facebook

I had to remote in to remember the name of this cool little program. EazyPTZ puts a small window on your PC and you can select a preset from the numbers or move the camera with the arrows.

Live Streaming a Church Service on Facebook

Thank you. I did research OBS but decided on XSplit; can’t remember why but I think OBS was more confusing. Another plus of getting the PTZ that I did, other than the <$500 price is the presets. they sometimes stream funerals when family members are overseas and the altar boy just needs to...

Live Streaming a Church Service on Facebook

This was a while ago and I did most of the planning while away from home. COVID lockdown was in place and I was asked my suggestions on setting something up that was better than a laptop and cheap webcam. I started researching PTZOptics but the price was very expensive and since I was planning...

    Post Halloween Thief

I don’t like keeping leftover candy in the house so I’ve kept a bowl of goodies outside my front door for the mailman, Amazon driver, landscapers, kids walking to school and anyone else walking by. The bowl was full when I left yesterday and completely empty when I returned home a couple hours...

    Helping a friend

There are old coax cameras that cover the storefronts, sidewalks and the line of parking spaces closest to the building; will get them online as some as my order of cameras and adapters arrive from Andy. For the two LPR cams luckily the area is well lit even at night. All the cam settings are...

    Helping a friend

A friend asked me for assistance for his strip mall whose 10+ year old camera system had failed. So far have installed cameras at the parking lot entrances to capture license plates and two Color4k-T180s for overview of the 330 foot parking lot. Before someone comments, the 180 Cameras are...

new house build - about to sheet gyprock/drywall, best option to run cables to view multiple POE feeds on TVs

Full disclosure, I consider myself a semi advanced amateur in hardware and complete novice in Blue Iris; but here are my two cents. A friend of mine was looking to do something similar at his house, his NVR was in the basement and wanted the ability to view cameras both on his first floor...

    Cliff Notes query?

I'm a little late to the party but I have been away for a while. I started with a NVR5216-16P-4ks2E but then changed to a 32 channel non-POE; luckily my brother-in-law needed to 16 channel POE for his dental office. The reasons I now prefer the non-POE version: 1. I have an old house and there...

    Suggestions for Overview Camera

A nice day today so went to clean up the wiring on my PFW5849-A180 overview camera. While doing so I tilted the camera down to get more property and less sky, that resulted in the camera hanging to much below the horizontal beam and seemed visually unappealing to me. I ended up removing the...
