yes.. bi - on the current stable version.. 5.5.1.13 noticed it a week or so ago.. One thing I just tried was to do a snapshot from the ui - and it did show the overlay.. just not in the image attached via the sms trigger

Over the last few weeks the overlays have stopped showing up (via sms) on the attached images when triggered and an alert sent. Am I missing a new setting? I haven't changed anything. The recordings on the dvr show the overlays with no problems - its just the attached image on alert sent via sms.

$200.. Seems like a good deal and from what I understand the cpu should do just fine with 5 -6 @ 4mp cameras. Any thoughts or advice? I plan on using the nas for storage which looks to be possible. Time to get away from hikvision cloud. Looking forward to figuring out blue Iris!

thanks for the advice... you were correct.. took a little while though.. turns out you have to turn off the recycle bin in the synology and then make sure you actually delete it from the share. Kept getting device error on the format - until I deleted the recycle bin. all is well now!

I am setting up 3 cameras for a friend for their condo in florida. I was able to pick up a synology 216j for a great price. Put 2 - 3tb drives in it and we are off to the races. I was able to get the 3 cameras to see the nas and format the drives correctly - the problem is I cant set a quota...

On my lts 2xx2's (cmip 3032) you can tfpt into them and load the correct hik firmware. Done it on all of my cameras.

hikvision has new 5.4 firmware out for the 2 series 4mps.. says you cant go back and if you upgrade you must go in order - 5.2->5.3->5.4

sat / contrast 100 / bright 30 WDR off and on - see file name (off is left file, on is right file). Also, my exposure time is 1/30. No 1/25. Have 1/30, 1/60, 1/120 etc.. with wdr on. Have 1/3, 1/6, 1/12, 1/30, 1/60.. etc with WDR OFF

I have moved to direct hikvision software for the 5.3.3 which has an option in video settings to turn on h264+. - LTS is on 5.2.2 - check their download page - V5.3.2_150902 is listed.
