How to turn off the "Pop" sound that's made when a remote connection occurs?

Each time my home automation system pulls up a video stream from Blue Iris, the host computer makes a "Pop" sound. It's rather annoying and I don't want to have to disable all audio on that computer. Is there a setting to disable it in BI?

Thank you, I'll give that a try!

No Idea what's...

BI won't use all my available hard drive space.

I have the latest BI installed on a Win10 machine. I have an SSD for the OS and dedicated 4Tb drive for storing video. I would like it to use the entire 4Tb before overwriting old files. Whenever I think I've changed the settings correctly, I go back in and see that it's only recording 20Gb to...

Best ready-to-go Blue Iris Computers / setups

I picked up an i5-4670, 8Gb ram (up to 32Gb) computer from eBay for $204, added a refurb 4Tb WD Purple hard drive for $99, and a 64Gb SSD I already had sitting around and it rocks Blue Iris very nicely. I am used to building PCs but this was significantly cheaper than rolling my own.

    Need help understanding storage settings

Sounds like you may want to just invest in a larger hard drive. I picked up a 4b WD Purple for $99 and I have no issues with running out of space.

    Awesome, thank you!

Lost a clip, any chance to recover it?

Very strange. I had everything up and running yesterday afternoon but the clips currently in my "new" folder don't start until 4:28am today. Since BI was defaulted to store only 30Gb, does it start overwriting those earlier files as soon as the limit is reached?

    Where to get FW 5.1.6?

Hey guys- I stupidly updated to 5.3 on my Chinese stickered 5.2 2032s. Another post suggested downgrading to 5.1.6 English version. I can't find a working link to get that file. Anyone have a copy stashed away or a link to it? Thanks.

Lost a clip, any chance to recover it?

I just installed Blue Iris and some new cams for the first time right before leaving town for a trip. I didn't realize that the default is to record only 30gb and then start deleting the files, (have a 4TB drive, and assumed it would fill it before deleting). The first night in action I had a...

My sticker does say 5.2. Do you have a link to the 5.1.6 firmware I need? All the links I found through Google have been abandoned. Thanks!

    Another confused firmware dumbass :(

Yes, I can see them in SADP and change their IP address, I can see them IVMS-4200, but I can't import them, and I see them in my list of connected devices on my LAN. I can even stream the video with Blue Iris. When I try to visit the camera webpage I get this message: "Access Error: 404 --...

    Another confused firmware dumbass :(

Yep, also getting a 404 on IE. Strangely, I can still connect to the cameras from my old IVMS4200 install on OS X, but I can't add the cameras to the same program on Windows. Unfortunately, I'm bringing my Macbook on the trip. Thanks for the suggestion, any others?

    Another confused firmware dumbass :(

I've spent a good amount of time reading what to do but I'm still lost. My cameras are DS-2CD2032-I, with Chinese stickers claiming fw.ver. 5.2. I unwittingly upgraded to ver.5.3.0 build 150513 and now I have the language mismatch problems. So weird I was able to use them for almost a month...

$150 to set up Blue Iris for off network viewing

I would like to do all this stuff but I'm a networking newb (just switched from apple Airport Extreme gear to Ubiquiti so I actually can do advanced stuff) Can you point me to any detailed threads or guides on setting some of this stuff up? I've never dealt with vlans but I'd like to learn. Thanks!

Blue Iris vs iSpy vs Hardware solution

Here's how I found a deal (thanks to Fenderman for the inspiration): I searched eBay for "i5 4590" in the category "Desktops & All-in-Ones," then changed the sort option to "Price + Shipping: lowest first". You will see a ton of options for under $300. Then buy yourself a 4-6TB Western Digital...

Need a locking wall-mount rack enclosure to house NVR, router, switch, modem, etc.

The best place I've found to house all my noisy equipment is in a hallway closet. Part of this is just organize, hide, and deaden the sound, but obviously I'd like it to be as secure as possible. I'm thinking about installing a wall-mounted rack-mount lockbox of some sort with conduit entering...

Best lowlight clear 2MP or 3MP IP Camera - Who is on top these days?

This cam looks great. I've never mounted a turret before, do they have 3 axis rotation? I will need to put one on a wall with a little twist to get the angle I need. Thanks!

Woot Alert: HP Elite 8200 SFF Desktop, Intel Core i5-2400s $299 refurb

Yes, I think the title of this thread was discussing an i5-2400 but I am looking at the i5-4590, the same computer I've seen you recommend in a couple threads. Just wanted to confirm this would be a good choice for 4-5 3mp cams. Thanks!!

Woot Alert: HP Elite 8200 SFF Desktop, Intel Core i5-2400s $299 refurb

Thanks for the reply, fenderman. I'm seeing one of these machines for $240. If I add a 4TB WD Purple and an old SSD I have layin around, you think I'll have a rockin system for Blue Iris and 4 or 5 3mp Hik cams? How many 3mp cams would be an upper limit for this machine? It comes stock with 8Gb...
