Eventually i resolved this issue myself. Quite disappointed from BI support case handling. The solution/workaround for my above issue is to uncheck "also bvr" in camera - record tab.

My bad re cameras. All hikvision 2cdxx family. I corrected above post now.

Not really. It's only the playback that shown corrupted. If I export the clip to mp4 it is shown OK.

it seems the rainbow post motion while playback only at night issue is resolved when i remove from the BI camera settings the sub stream entry "/Streaming/Channels/2".

Mike, Poor support and features i needed were told after purchase to not work in LPR mode. if you can skip it, do. I had to develop own push notifications on PC, triggered by FTP image upload (black list) from camera to a PC.
