Is BI acting weird for anyone else? one camera sees a truck other 3 cameras see nothing?

There is your problem...or it can be your network...I will go with the latter based on your history...

    Hangs during scrubbing

Taking a long time to rebuild the DB is a sign of a corrupt DB or dying hard drive. Ensure your database file is on an SSD along with Windows and blue Iris. Exclude antivirus from bi program and storage folders

    5.8.8 - March 4, 2024

5.8.8 - March 4, 2024 Group layout digital zoom is now propagated to remote live camera views and timeline playback. Locally, playback digital zoom now defaults to live camera zoom, and live camera zoom does not reset to the group layout zoom until the group is changed. Digital zoom and pan are...

    Attempted BI crash diagnosis

I dont know what caused your crash (maybe some sort of memory leak) but do want to point out that you cannot assume it is a stable release. I am pretty sure the main download file is updated with the latest release not the latest stable release.

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

Massive failure? 2 to 3 low iq dummies (unless they assumed the risk) updated to a release which the developer has informed you is not stable? Where are the thousands of BI users who had this problem? You have OCD and could not control yourself. Hope you get burned again in the future with BI...

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

It was a beta or alfa release...every release by blue iris is beta or more likely even alfa. There is ONE person who develops blue iris. He likely just makes the change on his own machine and pushes it out. That is why there is a stable release option. You and many others have update OCD. This...

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

Or just don't update to beta releases... Problem solved.. You should not trust any software in terms of security and therefore should not open any VMS to the internet.... You should be using some sort of VPN to gain access... I run over 20 Blue Iris machines with none of these issues... You...

    5.8.7.8

Improvements have been made to the heuristics used when deciding which image among all analyzed to use for final alert confirmation or cancellation. It is no longer necessary to place a “dummy” object into the the “to cancel” box for processing to continue regardless of a single confirmed object.

Replace current PC with SFF PC

There are quite a few threads on desktop processors and cpus.... Your decision is made. I am simply pointing it out for others...Buying a system for 200 bux + 100-150 for windows to save 30w at the plug (where are you going to store the data?) is insane. At 9 cents a kwh (based on the location...

Replace current PC with SFF PC

You mention modern cpu's but they are very weak...sometimes you need to learn the hard way... CPAI is one of the best parts of BI right now.

Replace current PC with SFF PC

You are improperly comparing power consumption of your current rig to the replacement rather than a more modern pc that is 2-4 times more powerful and way more efficient. You also need to pay for windows unless you intend to steal it. You leave no headroom for AI and also dont have room for...

My First HikVision - not going well

Moisture will get it...you need to at the very least wrap with silicone tape. any 1/3 sensor cam is garbage. You are paying for 10 year old tech...you can easily buy good cams for under 200, just not USA models from BandH. Vandal resistant is a meaningless term....if a vandal can reach your cam...

My First HikVision - not going well

Hik makes great cams...you just need to compare apples to apples..dahua dome is also meaningless, they make crappy domes as well...that said a dome is inferior for most applications compared to a turret. I have hiks and dahuas working fine since 2013 or so...most failures are related to poor...

    ZeroTier safety concern...

Zero tier is very secure - you need to ensure you have it set to only allow permitted devices to connect. You should not be using your BI pc as your desktop. Buy a desktop for 100 bux. This will only cause problems.

    5.8.7 - February 14, 2024

5.8.7 - February 14, 2024 In addition to a number of post-trigger images to send to the AI, and in place of the “motion leading image” option, you may now also specify a number of pre-trigger images as well. These images are synthesized from direct-to-disk frames stored in the pre-trigger buffer.

Has my Hikvision ip camera been hacked?

The port forward would be done in the camera itself and your router...there is a high probability that the camera and router were set to allow upnp and it did it automatically for you. Or you did it yourself.
