    my monitor psu failed so i did't get the monitor connected to the NVR, done some setup via the web browser, i know i can check a box and browse to each camera, ( we supply a different NVR, its all plug and play, everything gets synced. ) but thanks for your input :)

    Yes but you only have to do the gateway, if a IP is outside of the subnet it is sent to the gateway, if the gateway is invalid the trafic will not be routed and just dropped, (so you could set the gateway to the BI server if the device dose not like been 0.0.0.0 & Bi has not been setup to do...

    mine is wired the same, wired across 1 & 2 on the left, i get one ding when i power on and every time the button is pressed what happens when you put voltage across 1&2 on the bell directly? you should get a ding when applied and dong when removed also check the voltage with a multimeter?

    i would remove the cable management, move the top switch up one U, then move up the Cat6 panel between the switches, the replace the cable management below the switch, finally replace the patch cables with shorter ones

    you can only try... the built in transformer may not work down to the way it is wired but as i don't have one i can not be 100% sure :-) i can only say what i purchased works and has done for some time with out issue @sunday - it dose not work as a switch early versions of firmware you could...

    now i would say it makes no difference as long as both sides are the same :-) yes most network cards / switches support Auto-MDIX / autosencing, but not all so the dodo bird is not dead yet LOL
