Head Scratcher! I'm baffled and out of ideas....

Here's the deal: I have three phones, one Iphone and two androids. The Iphone and Android work with the phone app and using the ipctddns through this site. The two phones belong to a friend and I set them up for him a couple years ago. One phone is mine and I keep a copy of his server on my...

    Clip recovery after deletion?

Is there a way to recover clips that have been recently deleted in Bi? Thanks in advance....

Is there a way to delete clips, en masse?

Yeah, I know it's Windows and I had a eureka moment the first time you posted it. Don't know why I didn't try that to begin with. Brain dead I guess....

Is there a way to delete clips, en masse?

I have a friend that I installed Bi for and he's a long distance truck driver. When he gets home he sometimes has an overwhelming number of clips to delete for the time he's been on the road. Is there a way to delete them en masse, with a few keystrokes? Thanks Bob T.

Cannot acces my Camera Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I

You don't mention the browser you're using. I use Chrome and it has limited functionality (no video and some functions cannot be accessed but I can open the web interface via the browser). Try a different browser. The web interface only works correctly with IExplorer......Try IE to enter the IP...

A tale of two BI UI's, one good, one bad

Duh? First thing I tried.....No worky..... You're a genius! Oh, and just when I thought I'd pressed/clicked on every obscure icon on that panel, alas there's one that I didn't try.....Thanks for assuming that I actually know what that little green icon meant, 'cause I don't. "Solo" selected...

Port forwarding- Ports cease to work after a day or so

Thanks all for the responses. I eventually used the DMZ in the interim as we waited on a new router. After installing a much more modern router (lynksys) the port forwarding works as advertised. The router choice was the system owner. As for me, I have switch to an ASUS and soon to set up VPN.

A tale of two BI UI's, one good, one bad

I have two new Bi installs, one in my home and the other in a friends home. I had Bi4 installed for a few years before installing Bi5, my friend's installation is entirely new to him. Anyway, in my installation (as it was in Bi4) you can drag cameras simply by selecting the camera by clicking...

Port forwarding- Ports cease to work after a day or so

So, I set up a system for a friend. On three separate occasions I've have to change Port Numbers from 1080 to 1081 and now tonight, to 1082 else my friend cannot access BI 5 via his phone..... About his system: He's using a D-Link router (very old) supplied by T-Mobile whose Ip is set to...

    New Hikvision Cam rejects password?

Well, just for information purposes only, there is a reset button on the inside of the camera that when depressed and held (before power is applied) then plugging in the power (keep holding the reset for about 10 seconds), will reset the camera back to "inactive" and the default IP. You can then...

    New Hikvision Cam rejects password?

So it's going to need a submission to Hik to recover it? No need for a response, I know the answer to this question...Still miffed and confused as to how this happened as I set up 6 others with nary a problem....

    New Hikvision Cam rejects password?

What's a hard reset? There's no reset button on the cam. I found a reset tool in the "Tools" tab of this site that looks promising but haven't tried it yet. Apparently, only Hikvision can provide an unlock key to reset the password. Hopefully the tool works, else I have to contact Hikvision via...

Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

Is this tool still functional (it's 40 pages long:idk:)? I just tried to setup a DS-2cd2120F1 camera in SADP and changed the ip of the camera, the gateway and then tried to use it in BI5. After several attempts to connect via BI 5, I went back to SADP and am unable to log into the camera. At...

    New Hikvision Cam rejects password?

I have a new DS-2CD2120F-1 that i attempted to setup in SADP and I successfully changed the IP address and checked the subnet mask and of course set a password. i assume this password is the camera password, YES/NO? The SADP tool says it's "ACTIVE"... Anyway, I setup the cam IP in BI5 along...

Bi mobile will not connect remotely- works on wifi?

Well, finally the 'big picture' is coming together. I need to download bi tools (BIT) and there paste the API Key into the DDNS / IP Management section of BIT. I did none of this so no wonder the ipct ddns didn't work. I assume BIT runs as a service on startup on the host computer, yes?

Bi mobile will not connect remotely- works on wifi?

Gotcha. It's working with the appended :1080 following the No-ip link in the app.....I know I tried this with the IPCT ddns link and it either did nothing (didn't work) or gave me an error of some sort, can't recall anymore. I'm not familiar with BIT? If I do a search maybe I can find out what...

Bi mobile will not connect remotely- works on wifi?

Yeah, easy for you to say:)....I was admittedly stuck on stupid:smash: given I never setup DDNS before. I thought the DDNS link was to be used in the phone app but now I realize that it's to be used on the server side.... This is the misconception I had was based on something I read that said...

Bi mobile will not connect remotely- works on wifi?

Well, it works with 1080 ONLY if/when I specify the port address appended to the WAN address. The lan address of the pc is 198.168.107:1080. My ports are forwarded to 1080 in the router and my phone app WAN address is set to 173.xxx.xx.2xx:1080. This allows me to connect via ATT network and the...

Bi mobile will not connect remotely- works on wifi?

I'm not sure what you're referring to but I am aware of the port address in the Bi webserver and have tried different ports. I tried 1080 as well. I'll try again.
  28. injunear

Bi mobile will not connect remotely- works on wifi?

Well, here's the deal....I can only access it via a specific wan address and the address must specify the port as well, e.g. 173.xx.xx.xxx:81 It will not work without the port address specified regardless of the port used. If I remove the :81 it will not connect. Of course it will not work with...
