Seagate shows 78TB for high quality
Yeah, the plan had been to use stablebit drivepool and scanner so that if smart warnings got flagged it would move the data, and also because having a bunch of aux drives in blue iris would be messy, but since it seems I only need one or two, I wouldn't need...
Yeah, it did seem oddly high to me, that's at 4096kbps bitrate and medium motion scene complexity, it was set to h.265, supposedly the hikvision tool is pretty accurate, so I figured I'd trust it at least as a high window. Maybe it's got some sort of issue.
They want six months storage, but...
Dropping the camera resolution would basically just be to save on resources if needed. I currently have three 8MP 4k cameras and I'm very happy with them at night in a fairly dark back alley. The exterior of the building is going to have lighting on from lot lights, so there will still be a good...
Sorry, meant second gen ryze
I'll check that update helper out, shame it doesn't list more details.
Don't have the model number handy but for vandal protection and ease of tweaking during install the varifocal domes are what I have planned so that I can punch the image in a bit to get the...
Hi all, so I saw the very helpful rundown of what you need to choose for hardware specs based on megapixels per second, however it seems slightly dated, and perhaps a bit overkill based on some systems I've seen mentioned on the odd post, but looking to get some input from you guys for cpu...
It early on in blue iris 4. but it also quit working during one of the updates of blue iris 4. I think that I had disabled it because I was having trouble with geofence accuracy, so not sure exactly when it went wrong. I'd like to enable it for the garage camera I have though.
Y
Yeah, I don't know why this isn't working, especially when it once did. I emailed blue iris support and don't even know if I got a response, if I did it wasn't of any help so I don't remember it.
Well, this reply doesn't help my opinion.
Thanks so much for you reply.
Our camera has a metal shell and good explosion-proof function.
In one test I did, a man stood on a camera and it wasn't damaged at all
I guess I'll order the amcrest ones, throw these up in the meantime, then return...
Ah, that's something I didn't know. Hmm.
I'm kind of tempted to place an orderfor the amcrest cameras then, I'd be going for the IP8M-2493 ones, and then returning these after they arrive. It just really sucks that it's 19-30 days to arrive, and that's from the states no less.
The lack of...
Hi all, so I was tossing up between some amcrest cameras and these, because some fucking asshole just ripped my garage camera down and stole it, this is the second time someone ripped it down but this time they cut the wire.
The amcrest cameras were refurbs and going to take till the end of the...
I've messed around with different audio settings and had no luck, the only thing I noticed is that the audio path is blank, but the two way audio function works fine. It's quite annoying.
I did that, but it still doesn't play any audio which is why I'm posting. I'm hoping there's some way to dig deeper in to test and see why it's not playing audio from the alerts through the camera, but it does work with the regular audio functionality.
Hi all, so this is something that blue iris support couldn't help me figure out. I used to be able to play audio alerts through my foscam C1, and now that I added a second one out in a garage, I want to be able to play an alarm sound through it once again. The only problem is that when I tried...
So, I'm curious, has much progress been made to more custom commands with the amazon skill api, or are they still limiting it requiring using percentages to change profiles and whatnot?
Hey all, so the geofence feature of blue iris is awesome, I was often forgetting to turn the sytem on when in a rush, and this is a great solution, except for one part of it, I live in a basement suite.
Now, in some areas, it's fine, but in a lot of areas, my phone must loose gps signal...
Not running a vm, and haven't emailed support yet.
I nuked out my install, registry entries and everything, and also cleared out the network drive it was recording to.
I just thought of something however though, I have it set to a 200gb limit and to keep files until space is needed, at which...
I just excluded it and started blue iris and it crashed as I as using it, this is infuriating. It seemed to have been working fine until I added a foscam but I noticed the odd crash here and there, I just thought I had closed it by mistake.
Why the hell doesn't it create crash logs?
Hey all, so i'm hoping to get some insight from someone who understands event viewer better than me.
Blue iris is frequently crashing, and I don't know why. I had mp4 alerts set for one camera, I've since disabled it but I had random crashes before
I thought it was from using vnc or the mobile...
Hey all, some googling didn't bring up much, but I was hoping maybe someone here has managed to, or knows of a way, to use the PIR sensor on the Foscam C1 to trigger motion detection. I do see an option to use "cameras digital input or motion", and it does seem to put blue iris into the alert...
Ah, you made ui2 as well? I'm talking just about the java app, as I'm looking to run a modified netbook to monitor the cameras, so I figured using the java app instead of the web page would provide less screen clutter.
Hey, loving this program, I was curious, is there any way to cycle cameras automatically. I've poked every button I can think of and can't find an option or key to enable this functionality.
