    Add to BI Database failure

I was attempting to have the DB folder on the SSD (Drive C:) and all video files stored on the HDD (D:). I discovered a non valid path mistakenly entered (fat fingered) for the Alerts location. Once corrected, it seems to be working now. Thank you.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

I had put my front Door camera project on hold for many months, now back at it. I purchased a HFW1831C-PIR and modified it so it can be used with an external speaker. That was successful. I have tested with the alarm hooked to an amplified speaker (extremely load). However, I can't seem to...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

Well, a little heat, prying, and patience, the front plastic cover came off. Four hidden screws held everything together. Removed board and solder on extension wires to the existing internal speaker wires and ran them outside the housing. Hopefully I can get an external amplified speaker...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

1831C mini bullet - confirmed My only guess is the camera attaches to the housing with screws hidden under the front black plastic/glass. Anyone done this type of surgery before. (heat gun, suction cups, ?)

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

Not sure how to open this bullet camera up. Dahua did a pretty good job keeping someone from getting in. There has to be a way, no one would make the internals inaccessible.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

Just purchased this camera. My plan like others is to use it for a front door cam and utilize the two way audio. Has anyone attempted to hook it up to an external amplified speaker? I have not opened it up yet.

    Blue Iris Hardware Recommendations

Got it. A little more searching and your help put the pieces together. Since storage is not an issue for me, perhaps staying with h.264 is a better option. I suppose I could do a combination of both to keep the cpu in check. I think I'll go with the sub $200 Ivy I7 machine and down the road...
