Is it possible to add a fake PIR IP POE camera to a (Hikvision rebrand) LTS NVR with built in POE

Hey all, I'm looking for a fake PIR IP POE camera to add to my LTS ONVIF NVR that has 16 built in POE's. I was told that non-Hikvision cams won't work with my built in POE. Have any of you ever add a fake PIR IP POE cam to their NVR? If so, which model? Was it a local (U.S) purchase? Thanks.

Clarification / Best settings for Hikvision/LTS IP Turrets.

@fenderman: I am using h.264. I am making the changes via the cameras using FireFox browser by NVR IP address then going to Camera Managment then to IP Camera. @ zero-degrees: I have Virtual host enabled and I access the cameras directly to configure via the method above. I just changed all...

Clarification / Best settings for Hikvision/LTS IP Turrets.

Hey fenderman, I've had LTS Cams/NVR for about 2 years now and I've tried to change (using different browsers as well) the iframe to match the fps multiple times only to have iframe revert back to 50. Has anyone been able to make the iframe change stick? (sorry for hijacking...:-)) Thanks!

    Trim ring removal Hikvison DS-2CD2335-I

This may sound funny, but wear latex gloves. Wearing latex gloves while removing the trim ring will give you the grip that you need to remove a stubborn trim ring. Believe me...I know what it felt like struggling to get a good grip the trim ring when trying to remove it while up on a ladder...

Who's controlling the camera? The camera, the NVR or the iVMS client?

That...is the absolute truth. But, if there is room for improvement, it wouldn't hurt exploring the possibilities. Thanks for bringing PoE switches to light for me and also taking the time explaining the benefits in layman's terms for me.

Who's controlling the camera? The camera, the NVR or the iVMS client?

Whoa.... Sounds major. I'm going to have to google most of the benefits you mentioned and learn more about them. I'm wondering if it still will be beneficial, prudent or even if I'd be able to switch to a separate PoE switch since I already made my purchase of a PoE NVR. Funny thing about me...

Who's controlling the camera? The camera, the NVR or the iVMS client?

Ah. ok. Is it possible to offer an explanation what kind of flexibility i'd get if I switch to an external switch? I honestly have no idea if IP Cameras are you're only PoE devices. I guess it's safe to assume you have other devices that are PoE. I can admit, without shame, that I am totally...

Who's controlling the camera? The camera, the NVR or the iVMS client?

This is a very interesting post that caught my attention. I purchased a great system from Milkisbad; 8816 NVR Total of 8 2MP cameras with a mix of 2.8mm and 4mm lenses. The NVR has 16 built in PoE's. I love the system and Milkisbad has been beyond awesome! Can you explain to me,...in laymen's...

Question on iVMS-4200(v2.4.1.3) regarding motion search grid...

I have LTS IP cameras and currently using their NVMS7000 v2.00.11.50 (build 20140729_73) which has a very useful search grid for motion which puts the motion hashes on the timeline and I can search multiple cameras at the same time. As you can tell via the ver#, it's from 2014. Both Hikvision...

Rain en Snow inn the night.. But it's dry

I would say that could be fog, smoke (from chimney?), steam (from hot water exhaust), mist from water sprinkler or pollen. My opinion, it's too dense to be small insects.

Rain en Snow inn the night.. But it's dry

Looks like fog. The IR sensors on the camera are very sensitive and they are able to display and even magnify particles that the naked eye can't see. I sometimes see the same thing with my cameras. My cameras at times display pollen, dust, Noseeums (very small biting bugs that we can't see)...

Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NVR...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV Thanks okosub, but the problem I was experiencing was not a record trigger factor between the camera and the NVR. It's just that two cameras were going bad and somehow, the cameras and/or NVR would reboot...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV Hi djangel, Yes, the problem was solved. It turns out it was that one camera that was causing the problems. It seems it was a bad camera and at times, it would somehow stressed the NVR to the point of...

Re: Anyway to backup camera configuration settings? Lost power last night............ Good idea. I guess it's best to get a UPC. With my set up (16 POE NVR and 7 2mp turrets). How long will a UPC 1000VA last? Another question, what is the difference between (in the NVR settings via...

I lost power last night and when it came back on, all settings on the cameras were there except motion detection settings reverted back to normal and ALL the IR lights were off and would not turn on even after unchecking "IR Light On", rebooting the camera and rechecking "IR Light On" again...

    Wrong screensize in IVMS-4200

I had the same problem. I downloaded v2.3.1.3 and I saw the same thing. Plus they removed 2 features that were VERY important to me. I went back to v2.00.11.50 until they fix this AND they bring back my 2 beloved features.

Is it not possible to indicate motion activity on continous record?

With my LTS system (unbranded Hikvision), the only way I can do that is from the software (IVMS-4200) and the NVR (using Smart Search). It can't be done from the browser.
