    Replace IPC-HDW5831R-ZE with current equivalent

Hi all, Can someone help me understand what is the current equivalent of the IPC-HDW5831R-ZE? It's an old Pro-Series Dahua Eyeball, 8MP, with a vari-focal eyeball camera. I have 4 of these, and one has failed due to water ingress which I've fixed. I have the wall mount already in place, so I'm...

Dahua Firmware Request (DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/L and DH-IPC-HDW3541TP-ZAS)

Thats fine. I've a VPN in place to the LAN segment the NVR is on. Can you let me know how to find the IPs published by the NVR and how to enable the Camera Proxy?

Dahua Firmware Request (DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/L and DH-IPC-HDW3541TP-ZAS)

ok - this is starting to make sense. I might try a direct connection to the camera. Am I right in thinking there is a way for the NVR to expose the camera directly, through like a proxy IP? [I'm a long way from the physical install]

Dahua Firmware Request (DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/L and DH-IPC-HDW3541TP-ZAS)

Thanks for coming back to me. So both the camera and NVR support AI detections, the camera calls out People Identification, and the NVR people counting. I'm getting Motion alerts, but if I try and search recording history by detection - say face, I get nothing back.

Dahua Firmware Request (DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/L and DH-IPC-HDW3541TP-ZAS)

Hi folks, I'm looking for firmware files for 3 x DH-IPC-HDW3541TP-ZAS, currently on firmware v2.800.0000000.30.R,2021-08-20. These are hooked into an NVR, model DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/L, currently on V4.001.0000001.1, Build Date: 20-08-2021. I have an issue with Human Detection not working, and...

    Race Track Setup

Hi all, I hope you are well? I'm looking for a bit of validation if thats ok? I've been asked to deploy a camera setup for a bike track. This is for a local club, and they are budget constrained (<1,300 USD for the hardware). First up, there are two shipping containers, stacked on on top of...

SmartPSS and Dahua NVR and 4K IP-Cam

Thanks for the responses all. I have shifted down to H.264H encoding, as well as moving to VBR from CBR. The stuttering has improved a lot, and CPU load is reduced. It's still not 'smooth' video - but is enough for our needs right now. thanks again.

SmartPSS and Dahua NVR and 4K IP-Cam

The CPU does ramp up heavily. I will try and switch to VBR and see if that improves things.

SmartPSS and Dahua NVR and 4K IP-Cam

Thanks. Smart codec cannot be enabled on the other channels. This is the only setting that is different from the other channels, it seems to only allow SmartCodec on D1. I really want to retain the resolution, I bought them because I wanted to have this res on the recordings and live view...

Firmware for newer dahua cams as well as detailed specs available here

I want to compare the current firmware level I have vs. the latest firmware available. With that (hopefully) review the release notes to see what bugs/features are addressed. All my equipment is kept up to date in terms of software releases (NAS / WiFi kit / Switches etc). I would prefer to keep...

    Dahua HDD Question (NVR5208-8P-4KS2)

Hi there, I have a Dahua NVR5208-8P-4KS2 NVR. From what I have read in the manual, this supports two internal disks, but not using a RAID configuration. I have 4 x IPC-HDW5831R-ZE Cameras (8MP) plugged into the NVR and need to make a decision around the hard drives for this NVR. Assuming...

Brackets - Wall Mount, without drilling through the wall

Hi all, Very quick question. I need to mount my cameras out from the wall. We have pipes running on one side of the property and if I mount the cameras flush with the wall then part of the view will be obstructed. I was hoping to use the Dahua brackets (PFB203W). But from the YouTube videos, it...

    HDW5231R-ZE vs. HDW5831r-ZE

I'm back! I've taken the advice on board and have approval for lower placement of the cameras. So the current plan is to go ahead and buy 4 cameras: 1. One placed at the front of the house, below and to the right of the 1st floor window on the right hand side. 2. Two cameras placed along either...

    HDW5231R-ZE vs. HDW5831r-ZE

Thanks, I worked through the cliff notes a couple of days ago and found it hugely helpful. I was just left with questions about fps (awesome feedback thank you), as well as the comparative low light performance - if others have opinions, I would really value your feedback. I cannot move the...
