Your setup is a basic one. I am also a Cisco guy but not an expert. I misunderstood. I thought you wanted to segregate the webserver of blue iris from the cameras which is what I do besides segregating the cameras and server from the rest of the network.

I understand that but still not understanding why sandboxing is better than a separate nic. You restricted the camera vlan i assume from access to the routing gateway but you still have all the traffic passing through the same nic. unless you only have a few cameras. Vlans are just a way of...

What settings do I need to set on the cameras themselves beside for the ip address and password? Should I set the iframe and fos on the camera or do it in blue iris?

I use the second nic not just for a bandwidth increase but also for security. I keep the cameras in a second subnet with no gateway. If I am using the same switch then I put them in a separate vlan. Only the webserver port has access to the net or is available to the computers on the lan

Also you might want to have a second nic for the web server and one dedicated for recording streams

I turned on hardware accerleration andit dropped down to 71% which is interesting because on another BI server I have a i7 4790k with only 2 less cameras -24 - and it runs at 44%

All cameras are running at 15fps I have 23 2.1mp hikvision running at 1080 and 3 4mp running at 2688x1520 I have 8 gb memory Are you talking about hardware acceleration in BI or in the Bios ? Is there any way to change common settings on all the cameras at once?

I tried that yetserday . It did not help. I am still getting the delay after 5 to 10 minutes. The screens are located pretty closely to the unifi AP's. Any other ideas?
