How to remove moisture from camera

I purchased some silica packets from Amazon and depending on camera mount/design, tape (Scotch tape) the packet(s) behind the lens or in the mount housing. As far as a lubricate, use only one that will not break down (temp wise) such as a silicone product (not petroleum base). Also, after...

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

You are absolutely correct. For the last three years I thought I had an Acusense model, but I exported the info from SAP and I do I NOT have the NXI model. Thanks for clearing that up for me. One thing good is that the four cameras I have attached are Acusense models. Thanks again for hanging...

how to connect to NVR via computer?

I found 2 links that worked with my old Lorex NVR based system using the new Edge browser. I was able to login to NVR, scale window sizes, etc. as it was when IE was supported. I was able to load the Lorex webplugin and then the Windows compatibility box opened, chose defaults, rebooted and...

Make sure that the video is set to "auto connect". I had same problem when I changed video connection setting before allowing "auto connect". took about 3 minutes and 2 reboots (on both ends-NVR, monitor).

    PC or NVR?

If I read the others correctly, use a dedicated device. Be it NVR, PC or PC with secondary software. Video takes a lot of muscle especially the 4K, playback, recording , etc.

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

I personally have only 2 cameras attached to my NVR and they are both Acusence Hik cameras so I can not help you here. Maybe others will chime in with their experiences. I did try one of my Lorex cameras and it did attach via Onvif, could view but absolutely nothing else, not even motion detection.

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

My NVR is a Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P and it is an Acusense NVR. The Deepminded is also deep pockets and I'd beleive it would be for the more business/security minded folks. Mine is a

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

It is confusioning and to make matters worse, it varies on which data sheet you look at. Hik has sites and products everwhere and as their firmware, it defers depending on site visited. Now to answer your question; my 7608NI has 8 channels and can handle 4 8MP non-Acusense cameras and 4 8MP...

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

You have a choice of purchasing cameras that have the different VCAs (line crossing, face detection, etc) in their firmware and the camera itself will be responsible and then just report to the NVR. The NVRs mentioned also have these capabilities and they will handle the VCA events. Most NVR...

    Hikvision DS-7608NI NVR-ISP 0.0.0.0.

A couple of things: I only use the extra cabling to be able to connect and troubleshoot the problem. Not a day to day operation. The second is that is exactly what I did as I turn an old router-that as you suggested could not handle the traffic correctly, into a network switch and use that for...

    Hikvision DS-7608NI NVR-ISP 0.0.0.0.

If you connect an extra Ethernet line from a used NVR port to your router, these cameras will become visible and addressable. Change their "Adding Method" from Plug N Play to manual then you can give them an addressable ISP in your private network range and then using a browser address their...

    Hikvision DS-7608NI NVR-ISP 0.0.0.0.

Forgot to add and this is important. Tried login yesterday using a desktop PC and no good. Then tried the...

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

I have two identical ones, 2785 Pro series in my back yard, one up high and one at ground level so they do serve different views. But to answer your question, yes that is basically what I did. However with the zoom features on the apps it was pretty much worthless to me. I play too much. However...

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

I did look into a LPR camera and it seems that the best bet is to buy a dedicated LPR which can be quite expensive. I have a 8mp 2.8 to 12 mm Varifocal and unless the lighting and angle of vehicle is just right, I have a hard time viewing the plate clearly.

Mic options for Turrent and Bullet cameras?

What I have found out so far is that the pcb plug is indeed stereo with the sleeve being the common between audio in/out ports. However, when one using a mono speaker with the tip as the microphone, then it will not work as the tip is not connected to anything. So one must use the right channel...

Yes I did, same results but I am going to local hobby store today and see what they have available for experimental purposes. I know that Iphones the mic is on sleeve 4 position. My thing is when you pay 300 USD for a camera, it should work and as you had said before (and it is in the spec...
