Seems like the ONVIF viewer would show with out authentication.

I gave up on my generic NVR and set everything back to h.264

Completly different system, however, I have 1080p cameras bit rate around 4000 and 12-15 fps.

With a different NVR, I found if the camera bit rate was set to high the NVR would throw hard drive errors and reboot. Just a though.

Does that NVR handle the hard drive size (12TB) you listed?

If you go cheap, go big... Bunch of 4MP cameras that are cheap and suck. I love eating up storage with crappy night video. Depends on what you need it for. Daylight with the sun lighting the object from behind the camera, no shadows, no need for motion detection from camera to recording...

You should look at the IMX307 sensors. They are new to the market, but a little better than the IMX291.
