I do not know the exact frequency range/spectrum of the Ethernet signal, and I have not researched how the HDMI-over-Cat5e converters work (no doubt other on this forum do know and can correct me and/or educate us all), but it is my understanding that the converters create an "Ethernet-like"...

You will need a dedicated Cat5e cable run for each converted HDMI signal, however. It CANNOT run on the same run as your LAN data.

That's what I do. The HDMI output of the motherboard of the PC running BI feeds into a dual HDMI-over-Cat5e transmitter, with two receivers feeding the reconverted HDMI signals into two TVs. It works well. FWIW, I got a good price for the converter setup at Monoprice.com.

No. One thing I have noticed is that the CPU usage does decrease (as much as from 95% down to 60%) if I minimize the BI display on the desktop of the PC it runs on. Normally I leave it maximized since I extend the display via HDMI-over-Cat5e extenders to two TVs for monitoring.

So I guess I can/should remove my video card. :-)

BI.exe and BIT.exe are already excluded in AVG (I do not recall doing this so it must have been done by the programs when I installed them.) I will start experimenting with the cameras and report back.
