8MP Starlight+

Some pictures of the camera and various lenses. I already have a micro four thirds camera setup for 4k video work, so I already have a number of lenses.

interesting.. So I wonder, is that a fixed IR filter in front of the sensor? I wonder if it could be removed if it is. Guess you could point another IR camera & illuminator at it... it'd look black or reflective if it is a filter, right?
Hell, I'd probably have the thing disassembled on my workbench... ;)

Just curious if anyone has done any more testing of this camera? After seeing @Parley pick up the Sony and the 8A820 version of this sensor I was curious what other 4/3” implementations Dahua had and ran across this camera. I'm wondering how it compares to the sony and or the 8A820 in night performance?

I have to say that I am really pleased with the Dahua DH-SD8A820WA-HNF. Like you, I wish Dahua would come out with other 4K models with the 4/3" sensor or even a smaller 2/3" sensor. Maybe Andy knows something. ;)

In this thread. Dahua 4K PTZ DH-SD8A820WA-HNF

I have slowly fine tuned it and I am now running at 25fps. Maybe I should make another video post. It is my best camera. ;) I need to upgrade the PTZ at the back of the house but this camera is too big for that location. So maybe another DH-SD5A425XA-HNR down the road unless Dahua has a better camera in the works.
