Best Dash Camera 2024

Yeah the app is the way to go with settings.

Geesh 2 minutes would be 700MB files

Video storage takes a lot of space for sure, but that is why I have a 32TB HD on my Macintosh. If an incident happens, I just want to be able to review those last 2 minutes and have the video to edit. I found that a worthwhile investment, if you have a 229 Pro, is a Viofo BTR200 remote button. If something happens, press the button, and it will protect the video.

Has anyone tried a dash cam for their RV? I installed a backup cam years ago and from the git go the image was pretty bad, especially at night. In fact at night I usually turn the monitor off because the glare is so bright it destroys my night vision, nothing like our home cams. I think the main audience for these are long haul truckers backing up their rigs. I power mine through the trailer running lights so it's on all the time to give a better situational awareness. Anyway.... Has anyone tried a wireless model? I know they aren't so good for home cams. If wired is the way to go, would it be feasible to run an extension of that wire? The trailer is 22 ft long +3 ft hitch, hooked to my F150. Any thoughts about this?

The A229 Pro should have CPL for front camera in the box.
Yep
I have it on now. Will test over the weekend.
It’s just a compression fit, is very loose. May have to use a dab of something to make it stay on
