Best deal on Imporx (Huisun) v2!

Thanks Klasipca for these couple of fantastic threads on this camera and all the other members and contributors on here. I have been lurking the last few days and decided to add one of these guys for some LPR I want to include in my new setup. Order placed.

Total noob here just now playing with two Foscam units I had from something else I was working on, but I will likely move to some Hikvision units now that I have seen the night capabilities. I already have Blue Iris and I think that should work well with my total configuration. I hopped into high gear on setting up my cameras after a $900 package was stolen off my front porch. The next item stolen off my porch will be a dummy package with a message inside telling them I have a great photo of them and their car at the police station!

Once my camera comes in I'm sure to be back for some more hints if I don't see it in these threads. :)

Let's hope your package with the camera doesn't get stolen.

Yes, Thanks Klasipca.

I need to ad my gratitude also, your thorough and profuse reporting on your experience with these Huisun cams no doubt has resulted in hundreds of cams sold.

Following your experiences has certainly helped me make a decision to buy.

I have often thought it would be fun to send packages to myself that contain some old electronic item large enough to hide a small battery powered GPS tracker unit.

The numb nutz who steals it would easily be tracked and if he opened it up, would probably not take it apart and find the GPS.

Would kind of suck though paying for all that shipping enough times to actually catch some one. Another thing that would suck is these days, unless it is a violent crime the crook is back on the street in a few hrs as the IN-justice system keeps cycling these punks through and kicking them back on to the street until they ether get caught enough times or get caught committing a violent crime before they even get much jail time.

How are you going to convince a druggie punk to stop stealing to fund his drug habit? These people are on a downward spiral and don't have the same value system as regular people any more and most don't even think they will be around in 5 yrs so they don't give a crap if they get caught or not.

Your $900 item probably got sold or traded for 50.00 worth of drugs. What the cops wont even tell you is this type of thing is totally out of control specially in larger cities or urban areas and there is no way it is going to be stopped.

If I got some high value item being shipped to me I direct it to the local UPS store or fedex store if possible then pick it up there. Having something worth a good amount of $$ shipped to your home when you will not be there for hours is just insane these days.

Robert

@ncwbob You dont have to actually pay for the shipping, just leave the box out front :D

Probably true but I do think most of these thieves ether follow the delivery trucks or the drivers are in on it and alert the thieves via text message with where the packages will be delivered.

If you live in a quite neighborhood, how do these thieves from out of the area figure out where there is a package? I suppose they could just drive around looking for packages but I think they follow the trucks.

So no truck delivery, much less chance to attract the flies.

I happen to live in a small town and out in a rural area with long driveway so my house is pretty safe, uh, unless like I said the thieves are actually following the trucks and watching.

Then they could drive up my 800ft driveway nab the package and be gone in 30 seconds.

Most thieves are stupid but not all, when trying to figure out how to oppose some one, in this case package thieves I look at it like this, What if I was a package thief? How would I find the package and how would I do this?

I am no genius but reasonably smart so if I were trying to defeat myself what would I have to do to accomplish that?

So if it was me doing this, I would be following the trucks and record each address were a package was delivered. I would not follow the truck and nab the package right away, I would follow the truck for a few hours and get a list of addresses, then ether go back and nab the package myself or text the address to my associates "package recovery partner" and then meet back at the package recovery warehouse later to open our catch.

Then put em all for sell on fleabay, the largest stolen goods sales outlet in man kind's recorded history and always will be. Buy stuff on fleabay? then you'r our customer.... :D

Just part of the national package removal syndicate spread out nation wide to remove and sell our goods recovered from porches across America.

BUT... maybe I'm over thinking this?......haha

Uh-oh, monkey business alert.... Candy is attempting to downgrade the order, she is asking for me to confirm a lower end camera - see below:

My order was for: HS-SCB415IP-V10-E - 2MP - IP Bullet PTZ Camera 10x optical zoom.
Candy's order confirmation is for different camera: DM-SCB415IP-V10 - 2MP 10X PTZ Camera.
I am replying to her email and bringing this to her attention and requesting the original camera I ordered. Lets see what she says.

Monkey business averted, Candy replied with correct model and description for order.

Note: I was just before this sale dealing with Candy on a sale from the alibaba site on a Version 1 cam. She wanted to send me a aliexpress payment link and the price was also going to be $95.00 with $25.00 shipping but she was going to charge me and extra $10.00 for paying through aliexpress.

I decided not to go through with that sale as it seemed I may not have been getting the same protections I would be if I just bought direct from a aliexpress listing and the end price was not going to be that much cheaper.

Maybe that is why Candy felt the need to contact me?

Now that I noticed the camera downgrade, I think that is the reason she is contacting me attempting to get my approval for lower end cheaper cam.

I can not find a cam listed on the Huisun site with this part number: DM-SCB415IP-V10 so what up with that?

I do notice the lower end cheaper version 2 cams do not have the -E ending on the part number though.

I think it is the ones without POE? Maybe some of you know more about what part numbner is what with these cams. Any one seen a DM in the part number?

Robert

Candy emailed me a DHL tracking number.... a good thing? Maybe.

But, I paid $31.13 for upgraded shipping option EMS over E-Packet.

The DHL tracking number shows it is in Hong Kong.

Thought these were Chinese cams made in china?

So has anyone ordered one of these cams and seen a tracking number show it shipping from Hong Kong?

DHL tracking page screen shot below. Guess my EMS shipping has been upgraded.

Probably because you were looking previously in another link which had German language. You can simply change it to English though. What's the issue?

If I remember correctly, Hong Kong was given back by the British to China in 1997 so therefore it is still made in China :D

Okay that fixed it. I guess I had followed a site link earlier and it was German so it must have marked that as my language. Went to the base aliexpress site that was english. Then came back and clicked on your link again, and it is now in english. Thank you.

Now going to google epacket and see what it is. I am soooo close to doing this.

Technically true, just never heard any of the people here who have bought these say they were shipped from Hong Kong, though must admit, I have not read every thread line by line.

Being shipped from Hong Kong is not an issue for me, just thought it was interesting.

Also thought it might be one more tidbit of info to know about Huisun as collectively this forum probably has the most information on this company and their products available any where online.

So any one? who has bought one of these cams, where was yours shipped from?

Robert

I didn't pay attention to where it was shipped from, but it was Hong Kong when it was shipped from Monica, from Jack it looks like it was Beijing

Just ordered one today for $146 shipped via ePacket. Didn't see how to get it cheaper with the mobile app though. I hope it won't take too long.

Ordered on Tuesday (Wednesday morning there) and it was just shipped on their Friday night. Not bad. ePacket will take 2-3 weeks, right?

Mine was shipped on the 21st, but, just on paper. As of now, 10AM, Friday, the 22nd it still shows on the DHL tracking site that it has "not been picked up" by DHL.

I'm hoping it actually ships out soon, but I guess I should just be patient as it is 1 AM in Hong Kong right now.

Order date was on the 19th.

UPDATE.... Just posted this and then went to my email and... there is a DHL shipment notification.... happy dance :redface-new:
