The male Coyote was really in a hurry to get it down to business.

Actually, if you watch carefully, the two coyotes take turns initiating contact, so it's not just the male!!

Coyote Eats Crunchy Gopher on Thoroughbred Trail 12/27/23


After s/he finishes eating at around 11:00:50 (embedded time), you can see three coyotes pass by in the background, lit up as they walk by the external illuminators on my trail cameras. This is the first time I've seen all 4 together in awhile.

Plenty of skunks in my neighborhood. They come almost every night. Also, they have a built in coyote defense.

Coyote gestation is typically 60-63 days, so if this is that female, she could be ~2 weeks from whelping. Does she look pregnant to you?
