@wackid Can you elaborate? I have the same camera and the same hanging after completed file. It never comes back online after that, until I reboot it, and then it is not responsive at all.

This will only work on a camera with 5.30 on it.

Whooslooking I'm like most of the other users that have posted on this forum. I thought that I would upgrade my Chinese 2CD-2732F-IS dome camera to no avail I bricked.

I stumbled across your post today and tried the downgrader and whalla it restored my bricked camera.

I would like to know more about the mtd hack though to upgrade the next firmware upgrade.

yes it is possible on this model at this firmware vision the MTD hack is done on mtd2 and mtd5 you only need to change the region flag, you won't have to balance the adjustment.

Hi everybody,

I come here in desperation after going back to the internet, and testing everything I could do.

I own 3 cameras 2CD2632F-IS. I made the serious mistake of updating the firmware on a camera, and now it no longer works.

Here are the characteristics of the camera:

V5.3.0_150513 (but on the web interface it is 5.2.5 ...)
Q / BFW 006-2015

I bought them secondhand on the internet, so I was completely unaware of the history of Chinese camera. I received them in brown cardboard boxes.

So for now, I use TFTP to update my camera.
What is strange is that it is marked V5.3.0_150513 on the label, but in the interface, before the update, it was marked 5.2.5 - 141201 ...

I have tested a lot of .cap files, the only one that allows me to go to the 'completed' message is: IPC_R0_EN_STD_5.3.0_150513.
But at that point I have a blank page in place of the login page administrator, using the ip 192.168.1.64. On the other hand I see well in the web url, that the camera seeks to display the page "login".

The NC file with the same characteristics (5.3.0_150513) does not work.

I tried to install firmware first IPC_R0_EN_STD_5.3.0_150513 and then the firmware of this forum (downgrade), but the downgrade does not display the message "completed"

I have only two solutions: to put this camera in the trash, or to offer 25 dollars by paypal to the one who will find the solution (if it is allowed ...)

A bit of a long shot, if the 'login' part of the web page shows - clear the browsser cache. Old contents can confuse responses after a firmware change.
Also - what does SADP make of the camera, especially the firmware version ? Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.

I just installed the SADP version (the new one). It detects well my other cameras that are functional, but not the one with which I made the update.

What I do not understand is that I use the firmware version that is noted on the camera. Only the version "EN" allows me to go with tftp until the message "completed" (CN did not finished until the end). But after it is not even detected in sadp ...

Is it not possible to "clone" the firmware of one of my functional cameras, then inject it into the defective camera?

cloning is not possible, the downgrader should do the job.

The 1st thing is to get the camera backup onot to 5.30 CN.

This will take a bit of playing as you need to keep changing the PC's ip address
when working the ip of the camera is 192.168.1.64
when it not workingredients or on 5.25 it's 192.168.0.64
tftp works on 192.168.0.128

So your going to have to tftp 5.30 to the camera 1st, once done change your ip of your PC back to 192.168.1.x
the you should see the camera.
from there use the downgrader via the camera's update page. once done you will need to use sadp to change the camera's ip address again.
from here you will need the mtd hack.

The master problem that I have is that I can't arrived to the page with login and password.
If i used the chinese 5.3.0 tu upgrade with tftp (IPC_R0_CN_STD_5.3.0_150513), I never had the message "completed". I have the transfer message, and never the happy ending.

I try a lot of firmware, the only one who show to me " completed !" is the 5.3.0 EN (IPC_R0_EN_STD_5.3.0_150513).
But After that completed message, It's never possible to show the page with login and password (to after that downgrade like you say to 5.2.5) with the 192.168.1.64 (I try the camera from different computer on a POE switch, and immediatly on rj45 on a only one computer with a 12v adapter.

So the question is this one : is it possible to upgrade the camera with the chinese firmware, and same if I don't see the message "completed!" from TFTP until the end ?

to get this to work correctly I recommend using 12v power supply and a network switch, this way your PC NIC is already active and waiting for the camera connection.

Ok I just make the test by putting directly the camera with the 12v adaptater on the same switch (a simple d-link switch no POE) with the computer.
SADP did not detect my camera, but when I put an other camera with this 12v adapter + the same rj45, she was detected after 10 seconds.

I think my problem come by the fact that i used the wrong firmware. Is it possible that I use a firmware that allows me to go through the TFTP process (with a "completed" message), but that this firmware would not be compliant?

I also saw that someone use a tool called HIKVISION TOOLS to change the language in its firmware digicap.dav before sending it with TFTP. Should I also dig this track?

If I already had the interface only in Chinese with the administration part, I would already be very happy! At least I could chain on another step :-(

2 things:
Don't use the 4-line version of the 'Downgrader' - it has been found to be unreliable. See the first post in this thread for the on-line version. *edit* one-line version Lol.
In the folder where the tftpserve.exe updater is - ensure the firmware file is named as 'digicap.dav' - there is a typo in the instructions.
If the tftp updater does not find digicap.dav it will do nothing, as above.

I made some progress. I downloaded the one line version at https://www.dropbox.com/s/3hy72q4osstun72/5.30 Downgrader.rar?dl=0. Put everything in one directory, started the ftpserv.exe file and was able to transmit the code from PC to cam. But after that nothing happen.Red lights are all on on the cam, the ftpserver has no messages as shown below



and wireshark is telling me the FTP was done up to the last frame.




What am I doing wrong? Norton is deactivated, wireless is deactivated and I am running most recent version of windows. Camera is hooked up thru POE TP-Link switch.

The PC IP address must be set to only 192.0.0.128

Sorry, I didn't spot this the first time round, just checking on the phone without enough detail.
And you may need to change the header language of the firmware with the Hiktools 'lang' option : Hikvision FIRMWARE TOOLS - change language, extract files and create own firmware

I have made the changes you are suggesting but it didn’t go further. There is a data transfer between the PC and the CAM but nothing happen after (no messages in the TFTP even after 10 minutes wait.)

On the window box, I have only one IP address 192.0.0.128 No wireless.

As you mentioned, I downloaded the tools from

Hikvision FIRMWARE TOOLS - change language, extract files and create own firmware


and stored the hiktools05r1.exe in my 5.30 downgrader as below.




Using the procedure described, I tried both options lang 1 and 2 but nothing seemed to happen except the data transfer between the PC and the cam that I had before. For each option a new digicap.dav was created. No messages on the tftp window for each test as showed below.




Do you have any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

The setup looks OK.

But the screenshot of the tftp updater does not show any data transfer, just the camera probing for the tftp server.
I'd speculate that there may be a missing Windows firewall 'allow inbound' rule, or maybe some anti-virus software with network access protection blocking the inbound access.
