Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

In my case I didn't use the General, I honestly didn't notice the revision on it and would be interested in feedback from others. If no one has tried it I might be convinced to do so :) Looking at the .BIN files inside the NTSC version I used appears to have a later file date on it. The General is 170518 which I interpret as 5/18/17 and the NTSC has 9/05/17. I don't know what's best to use honestly but I can tell you the bootup on the NTSC version appeared noticeably faster than I'm used to!

Thanks for that.
Did you unzip the file and then use the .bin within?

I didn't think to check the file dates within. I'll do that now.

The General is the PTZ FW.

I see that it is only 33kb, as opposed to the PAL and NTSC which are in the neighborhood of 27Meg.

Does the PTZ upgrade only overlay the PTZ portion of the other upgrades? (In which case it should be applied after the PAL/NTSC upgrade.)

I did pull the .BIN file from the zip. I am unsure what to do with the PTZ file but am now curious :)

If you download the firmware upgrade directly from the product page on the D website you will not get a zip file you will get the bin file ,nothing to mess with

There are only two firmware updates, NTSC or PAL and PTZ.
You can use either NTSC or PAL, you don't need to flash both.

And now there is an even later version than the V2.600 that has been discussed.

On that site there is now a V2.622 with a 12/26/2017 file date.

I don't find that for the SD49225T-HN. I do for other models.

You are absolutely correct.
When I went back to the SD49225T-HN page, and then to the support>firmware section, only the V2.600 was listed.

I must have gotten lost the last time when I found the V2.622 version. Easy to do on the Dahua sites.

As near as I can tell, the V2,622 is only for the PRO series.

What's to be done with the PTZ .BIN file? Should that be installed as well as one of the two others? 24hours and mine is still up, if it can go say 36 I'll be thrilled! I've been doing a programmed reboot on it every night so if it makes it a few days I'll try dropping that too. :)

Hi,

I recently bought 49225HN PAL version and updated firmware to version 2600 .Also update the PTZ driver to V3.02.93.R.170518 version. Now I have issue with the focus of the camera. It can't focus during the night time(as soon as it getting dark). At first I though POE is causing the problem. So I switch to use 12V 5A power supply and disable POE. But still no luck, the camera always out of focus at night. However, there is no issue during the day time.

Is there anyway to fix this problem? read through all the thread, seems like the problem is with the firmware but I'm still confuse which firmware to use. Any suggestion? Please...

Thanks.

Hi,
seems like the problem is with the firmware
my cam comes with the 2.600.x

Device Type: DH-SD49225T-HN
System Version: 2.600.0000.2.R.R4.2510.9A.NR, Build Date: 2017-09-05
WEB Version: 3.2.1.491814
ONVIF Version: 16.12(V2.3.1.458331)
PTZ Version: 3.02.93.RHNZ_170518_22722

and i have no problems with focus at night. Have you already tested a reset to Factory Default after the update?

I think I read somewhere that a downgrade to Version 2.4x is no longer possible after update to Version 2.6x ?

Seems that some poe+ switches are not giving this camera enough power, and the problem is worse on long cable runs. So we have been using a dedicated poe+ injector and good quality cable (ubiquiti cable) and we are having much more luck with this camera.
