DAHUA IPC-HDW5231R-Z 2MP - Can't draw rules

Hello,

I have this camera and trying to draw motion detection areas etc. using the camera interface but unable to do so. I click on draw rule but nothing happens when I drag mouse cursor along the picture.

I'm using Chrome on Macbook. Could this be the reason and I need IE for it to work ?

Chrome may be the problem.

I've figured it out. Dahua Software is pretty much crap on OS devices. I could only kind of sort it out by using Safari :/

Internet explorer seems to work most of them time and also using the smart pss software

you dont need windows to use explorer. you can get a ie tab app for chrome

Yes, I made sure I have all the plugins installed. Still not working apart from Safari (kind of) but the plugin tends to crash.

Does it work in the NVR OSD? ( or are you using Blue Iris ?)

I don’t use Dvr, sold it, barely worked. Got blue iris and love it. Got Ivs setup to work with internet explorer on windows 10 after lots of troubleshooting.

After battling through a night to get my cameras to get IVS working, I downloaded PaleMoon and it worked straight off the bat!!
I use Chrome by default and I couldn't manage to get it to work. I now use PaleMoon spesifically for IVS. Thank you.

I downloaded Palemoon but no matter what I do to download and run the plugin it wont show the picture all other settings show up video audio etc.. what am I missing?

Did you make sure to download the 32bit version?

Also remember that on some Dahau cameras you can not use IVS with H.264+ or H.265+ or smart codex.

Most of the up to date browser will not support pluggins for security reasons.

Ok i downloaded the 64 bit because that is what I run
I can set it through NVR so i guess all is good
