oppsss i didn't see that one comming , it's a pitty coz i like that cam , bought 3 of them
any idea what gives me the same results but then for outside ?
install them some place they wont get wet, mine's outside but protected under a big eave... the weak point is the top of the unit, see attached photos and notice the SD card cover and reset button.. you could try a bit of silicon to seal everything up, as you can see none of it is gasketed.
I received my cam yesterday afternoon. Without any issue I was able to do the basic configuration changes in the cam.
After some struggling I was also able to get it online in my Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2 NVR using:
* Protocol: ONVIF
* Port: 80 as "Management Port"
* Disabled ONVIF auth
I'm not sure if this is the right "config". Is there any other way of doing or better one?
No, it works fine. The only minor issue is that the diagonal arrows/movement don't work (at least with the settings I'm using), but horizontal and vertical are fine. Presets are all good too.
So far it's not working perfectly.
If I press the left or right direction button it will start moving in that direction but it won't stop If I "command" it.
In this case I'm trying to control it through Hikvision NVR's WebUI.
The SmartPSS works fine. I'm not sure about the Onvif Device Manager. I will try out tonight.
that would likely be a Hikvision issue, not a Dahua issue.. Ive read reports here that Hik's Onvif capabilities are lackluster.. it sounds like its sending the correct start command but not the correct stop command.
I'm reading with post and i've seen a lot of videos with PTZ camera. Regarding all tests you've done, do you know some IP models running with POE and with intelligent detection (follow, etc ...) in a good price ?
Installed mine for 2 weeks now. It has been working great. I also ordered the mounting hardware from the same vendor on Aliexpress. A few pictures attached here.
