Dahua NVR motion triggering simultaneous recording on all channels

I do not recommend using PC-NVR. I have tried using it in the past, and even Dahua tech admits it's not great. For the price of a Linux based Dahua NVR, it's so worth just using and NVR.

That's too bad. I'm running this on a pretty beefy Linux server in a windows VM with a raid and a lot of memory.

I was hoping to get re-use out of it rather than buying more hardware.
 
The fix for my lack of MD on one channel was to return NVR to factory defaults, and then, with no cameras added yet, was able to access motion detect for all channels on nvr, and made sure each channel was set to record only that channel. Then when I added my cameras back, all were able to get configuration and everything worked as it should. NVR problem caused by me, accidently clicking record to ALL channels on 2 cameras in nvr, and in trying to correct that, somehow caused a glitch that interfered with communication between the nvr and camera 6. So not a camera problem. Thanks for all the help.
