You may consider this DB it is very popular and a fast seller:Oh that is interesting. I had assumed DoorBird would be rock solid. I'll have to research this forum to read more on its issues. The problem I have with Dbell is the application processor seems to shut down every few days in summer (the bell function continues to work) - my doorbell faces the sun and I'm always streaming to Zoneminder so I suppose the system gets overheated.
I'm going to migrate to a google coral device very soon - it seems to easily be able to handle real-time object detection across 12 of my cameras @ HD res. The models are quantized/slightly less accurate but great. I'm looking for a doorbell that can take the summer heat (Maryland,US) while constantly streaming.
But it does run hot too. I live in over 100 degree summer temps in the South and this DB made it through this past summer streaming 24/7 ok and so far no one has had theirs fry yet, but I think all of us have concern when any electronic device runs that hot.
