DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

The design of the 2335 is miles better than the likes of the 2332/2342 etc. So easy to come off and put back on now especially if you were fixing the turret to a flush surface.

I prefer how the 2342 is a very tight fit- I use rubber gardening gloves to get extra traction on the ring. The 2335 you just have to look at and they'll fall off! It's not good if someone decides they would like to abscond with them.

Just installed 4 of these 2335 cameras but one of them looks very dark at night. Can it be damaged? Here is a photo

Have you tried another camera in the same spot?

Maybe point it away from the wall to the right as you can see it's flaring / clipping heavily on the right and that could be causing it to drop the exposure times etc.

Your image is dark because the camera is fooled by the very strong reflection of the IR at the side wall. Turn the camera to the left to avoid watching the wall. Alternatively, rotate the camera by 180 degrees in order to change the angle of the IR to be more in parallel with the wall, and then change the image orientation at the image menu (choose center option to flip the image). Also play with the IR Auto function to suit your case.

I just received my 2385 and I have no idea how to remove the white trim piece that usually covers the mounting screws . Is there a new walking feature for this trim or is it still counterclockwise ? Don't want to damage the new cam.
I had to use a screw driver to push one of the tabs clockwise on the bottom in order to remove the trim.

Who did you buy from? I'm thinking about buying, but two retailers claiming to have stock on Aliexpress.com actually haven't.

Its because most of us are just holding the 2CD2H35FWD-I and 2CD2H85FWD-I

I contacted them and they don't have stock of the varifocal. I got caught buying two 2335's off them a few months back, the ad said they had stock but they didn't.

Sorry if this has been mentioned and I've overlooked it, but how does the vertical angle of view on this 3mp low light compare with the older non-low-light 3mp and the 2mp (low and non-low light)? With the original non-low-light Hikvisions, the 3mp had a noticeable increase in vertical angle of view over the 2mp and a fairly similar horizontal view....Is it the same way on the 3mp low light cams?

The new low light 2335 (3MP) cameras (G1 generation) use a 4:3 ratio sensor similar to the older 2332 non-low light cameras (R6 generation). The previous generation cameras like the 2342 (4MP) (also R6 genration) use a more elongated sensor with a ratio approximately 16:9 . Unfortunately HIK (and other chinese Companies) do not consider the horizontal and vertical angles of view to be a useful Information worthy publication.

HIK has published only the horizontal angle of view and not for all cameras and in all their sites. The vertical angle of view has been published very rarely. In other words, HIK does not publish this HFOV and VFOV (Horizontal and Vertical Field of View) systematically for all their cameras and all their lenses.

I installed a microsd card but I don't know how to record on that images or video and then how to view them remotely, any ideas?!?!

Usually when the sd card is in the camera go to the web page of the camera and look up the record play back, you will have to tick the box in the camera web page of what it records to.
Ps format the card too

I get many false "intrusion detection" because of the wind changing the shadow that some trees are casting on a white wall.. Any idea who I can get rid of those? I tried lowering the sensitivity but nothing happens up to 25 and I am thinking if I lower it even more that it might not catch any serious intrusion.. Also I increased the threshold up to 2 (2 seconds if i understand correctly) but it still gives false alarms.. Percentage is at 30 (30% of the selected area that means???).
