I think the Nikons in that range also use an APS-C sized sensor, but they consider their crop factor to be about 1.5X.

So 300mm is a pretty long focal length on that body.

The EXIF readout in Photoshop even shows the 35mm "equivalent" focal lengths. I'm not at my PC right now, but obviously this would end up being near 450mm 35mm "full frame"equivalent.

I received the Latest Topics email and for some reason decided to check it out. This thread was amazing. Thank you fenderman for setting the wannabe know it all straight and how dumb his acting was.

Also, to the OP, they make cameras that will automatically zoom in on plates and faces and movement. If you want the pro features, just buy a pro camera. It'll cost you though.

@Spirch sorry for being a dunce but that screenshot, does it simply mean that a 12mp cam would so the job, what about the type of lens to use etc.
