Firmware for newer dahua cams as well as detailed specs available here

I just picked up a IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E from Andy. It came with firmware:
V2.800.0000000.20.R, Build Date: 2020-09-03

Is there a later version of firmware that I should upgrade to? I read that some of the later versions may have fixed a focus issue.

I founded on Dahua site a firmware that I loaded into 2 of my 4 cams SD1A404XB-GNR.

Here is the version : 2.810.0000017.0.R,2020-11-23
The readme.txt is "all version", so i tried it…. and all is working fine !

My NVR : DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-4KS2
It's firmware : V4.001.0000005.1, Date version: 26/11/2020

I use IPC-HFW4230M-4G-AS-I2 and I am trying to share the device with someone else via the DMSS app.

A few weeks ago the app said there was an update which would remove all the people that the devices are shared with and that those people would have to update the app in order for me to share it again.

I have been able to share it with some people but for others it says 'Failed to share'? Is there now a limit on how many people the device can be shared with?

Please help!

I too have a IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E from Andy with firmware V2.800.0000000.20.R, Build Date: 2020-09-03. Got error trying to load the firmware "DH_SD-Prometheus_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.810.0000017.0.R.201123".

Found newer firmware in another thread: IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS latest new firmware General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.15OG004.0.R.201203
Oh sorry...
I thought that you knew only firmware named "Prometheus" was for SDxA line cam.
It can't fit your HFW

Here is the link for the firmware I talked about :

Firmware OK for SD1A404XB-GNR cam

The name is "DH_SD-Prometheus_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.810.0000017.0.R.201123"

Thanks for clearing this up. I too didn't know that. Is there a list anywhere what name stands for what type of camera?

I have this one (Prometheus) and some HDW5231Z/E.

And what is the difference between ...PN... and ...NP...?

There's a new international/english version of the firmware for the DH-SD59225U-HNI with a build date of 2021-02-03

The video seems smeary when panning fast (which it didn't do with the 2017 firmware that was on this cam before), but so far lots of improvements.

This problem exists since 2017. It is very visible in slow paning. I had to patch it remove the problem as Dahua dont gives a s.....

Also upgrading will not give a way back as secuity level is incresed from 1.4 to 2.0 and firmware is encrypted.

Whelp, too late for me now, I guess. I assumed that I could revert if there were issues. Guess not...

What are you patching out to fix the smeary panning? Why would they leave that when it can be fixed so easily? Panning was crystal clear with the original firmware. It's worse at night, but still visible in day pans.

I don't know where you can get it on the internet. Dahua pulled firmware from their public facing site. Here's the name you're looking for if you NEED it, build date shows it was just released last month:

General_SD-Eos_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.810.0000000.13.R.210203.bin

The readme says:
Supported Devices:

CA-HZX0XXU-NORMAL,SD6CXXFA-GN,CA-HZX0XXDU,CA-HZX0XXTU

And I was concerned that there were no SD59xxx listed, so I had them double check and they said Dahua confirmed that was the correct firmware for the DH-SD59225U-HNI. Honestly, though, if you have the firmware from 2016 and early 2017, the video quality at night when panning is MUCH better on those early versions - keep what you have. The auto-tracking (which is what I wanted) is really crappy and not worth losing the pristene video of early 2017 builds.

I have versions in my camera : 2.623.0000000.13.R,2018-12-05 , do you think to stay with this version?

On the dahua site i found only the versions : DH_SD-Eos_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_Market_V2.800.0000000.5.R.190827
