FYI - Some local Costco B&M have a Lorex / Dahua OEM 4K 6x camera kit and 8 port NVR for $800

I am not sure. It might also get sold out, as there is no card next to it. The "*" on price tag means the stock is in limited quantity.

In general I have been disappointed with the newer Lorex cameras using smaller sensors.

As such I think the Lorex kits are less useful if you need low light performance.

The cameras in this kit look like newer models which I do not know much about about, so I would have to check of they are even dahua oem.

If the kit is a dahua oem ip poe kit .. then you could typically augment it with a few better dahua oem cameras.

One nice thing that I like(d) about costco is the return policy .. IMHO the best around for security cameras .. so you could typically take a kit home and bench test before climbing any ladders to see of they work for your setup.

Feel free to post more specs on this kit if you find more info on it.

CCTV Coax BNC DVR kit .. and the floor sample shows a broken stem from one camera .. I would avoid this kit ... 1651833 Costco number

Camera looks similar to :

Lorex 4K Active Deterrence Security Bullet Camera

Looks like only one light on this model .. so close .. but NOT the same model ..

Key point, sensor looks like 8MP / "4K" and 1/2.7" - which imho I'd avoid for low light purposes

Thanks for letting me know! I will avoid this set.

I am quite new to security cameras. What cameras would you recommend? Is this still a good list or outdated?

Yes that thread you posted is still a good list as I update that list as new cams come out and members here (including myself) have tried and tested them and are willing to put them into our system.
