you can not post regarding the seller amazon policy
The seller is the same as the manufacturer and the product. This is not the case of a seller Who is distinct from the manufacture. Screw Amazon’s policy. The seller violated this forums policy. They need to suffer the consequences. They need to learn that fraud doesn’t pay. You can leave a review that lets users know about the scam so they don’t trust online posts like the op. Don’t worry Amazon police won’t show up at your door.

I agree he should face consequences, my experience with amazon writing a review about the seller was taken down due their policy. you can try.

Don’t make it about the seller. Make it about the manufacturer. Comments on YouTube videos and their Facebook page is another way to hit them.

I would recommend avoiding the "attack the seller" route entirely. Instead, review the product, e.g. "I received a Homam camera as a gift from my friend because he said it would be secure. Instead, someone with a Russian accent hacked into the camera and started talking to me through the audio, telling me that he could see me and that he would publish pictures of me online. I was terrified and immediately unplugged the camera. Now I am afraid that the same hacker may have also hacked into my computer. AVOID THIS CAMERA AT ALL COSTS!"

I mean, what is Mr. "Russell Grapes" going to do? Accuse you of lying? This guy is a fly-by spammer with what is probably a completely bogus product.

So, I decided to take the plunge and submitted a one-star review. I dialed it back a bit and simply said that I had received it as a gift, and it was an extremely overpriced camera given its performance.

Let's see if Amazon publishes it. They certainly had no issue publishing the fake five-star reviews with the stilted English.

I have been needing a camera to monitor the inside of my microwave to see when my food is done. I'm very concerned about hacking. Maybe I should try this one, as Amazon Prime offers free returns.
My brother once owned a custom-build computer store back in the days when you could make a living at it. Sometimes he would have intermittent motherboards where the failure would only show up after the computer had been running long enough for the components to heat up. He would return them to the manufacturer for warranty replacement, who would promptly send them back with a "no problem found" diagnosis, because of course they would never test the boards long enough to see the failure.

Finally my brother got fed up and bought a "tricorder", i.e. an inexpensive stun gun. Whenever he had an intermittent board he would say, "Time to check this board with the tricorder - yep, it's defective" after running the high-voltage arc over the board. No visible damage, but the motherboard would most certainly be dead when it was returned to the manufacturer.

So you might want to consider using a tricorder just to verify that the Homam is defective before returning it. :)

Looks like a few 1 star reviews made it through, not sure I'm all aboard with spamming amazon reviews but people who deal in bullishit are pretty good at spilling it on themselves. Karma

I added one and it made it on. I didn't lie, just told people to research first, 500 is a lot for an unproven 2mp camera with an unknown sensor, and wifi should not be trusted for real surveillance, as it can be hacked, jammed, or go down when its needed.

In this case I consider it morally justifiable for three reasons:

(1) The "CEO" is a prolific spammer using fake names and profiles, as @mat200 has amply demonstrated.

(2) The gushing fake five-star reviews on the Amazon site, using the old trick of "Buy our product and give it a five-star review, and we'll refund your purchase price and let you keep it."

(3) You're preventing potential buyers of the Homam from being ripped off.

Hi everyone! Do you guys know a decent home wifi cam that doesn't require any monthly fees? I`m looking for a cam that I can connect with my phone. I've heard that Homam cam is good for it, but has anyone been using it already. I'd like to hear honest reviews on this cam. Please, share your thoughts, I'll appreciate any help.
