HikVision DS-2CD2032-I Firmware

you can update if you are certain your cam is US region...
I really want to DIY this whole project myself but it is very intimidating. Thankful for all of the knowledge everyone here has. I've locked myself in with the HikVision NVR and I think I want to use turret cameras. Just trying to find someone to buy from I feel comfortable with.

Okay I went there and downloaded the .rar file- But i see no place to get the tftp updater application?
This is the content of the .rar file:

Code:

thanks for that it helped- but one more question do i need to plug the cam directly in the router or can I have it plugged into my POE switch which is connected to the router? Should i also disconnect the other cameras on the network as well?

But, unlike the Hikvision instructions, just have the PC and camera wired as normal to the router or switch, not directly connected.
The process does work better when the PC and camera are not directly wired together.
It would be prudent to not have the other cameras accessible to the PC so they don't pick up an unintended update should they reboot while the tftp updater is running.
It has happened ...

I got it back to normal finally- Thanks for helping a newb! Now another ?? and the reason I updated the camera was because i seem to no longer be getting e-mail alerts through gmail. I had it working find about two months ago but it just stopped. Did gmail change something that would cause this?

Excellent! Well done for getting there, and figuring a few things out in the process.
Did gmail change something that would cause this?
They certainly did - removed support for SSL, now requires TLS.
Some huge threads on that topic in this forum.

Okay i have everything working now switched to my main e-mail address through my provider. the only thin not working is being able to edit the arming schedule, is there anyway to fix this?
