Hikvision DS-2CD2132F switched to monochrome

Well sure enough it was very dark!

I've tried a reset but it just went back to a monochrome image.

It would appear that the sensor for day/night isn't working ie. 'Auto'.

I've started experimenting with a scheduled change to see how it goes.

P.S. Noted all the correspondence re different versions of the firmware. Are you referring to the camera or the NVR?

My DS-7616NI-E2/8P is on V3.0.10 build 141126 and allegedly a genuine UK model. Is there any advantage to upgrading? Where would I find the upgrade?

It's the photo sensor i've replaced a few over the last 2 years, if you look on the rear of the IR board you will see the pins have corroded away, you can try and cut the plug off and solder the cables back on.

This happens if there was no silica pack in the camera and it got damp inside.
