It seems to be a Chinese model of NVR - is it definitely 7108NI or is it 7108N ?
The firmware from here may work OK with it, 6th one down, but you will be back to Chinese menus : http://www1.hikvision.com/cn/download_more_699.html#prettyPhoto
You will need to try the Hikvision tftp updater as the NVR is in a bootloop.
The updater and instructions are contained in the link at the first post here: https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/4036-Custom-Firmware-Downgrader-5-3-0-Chinese-to-5-2-5-English

Hi
i have a Chinese DD-2DF284 currently with 5.2 firmware

on reading the thread it looks like 5.3 firmware has a RSA signing
key for the firmware? should i avoid it and look for a 5.2 english firmware? if so where?
i have downloaded a 5.3 firmware file could not find anything earlier

if my understanding of the hktool is correct i should download a english version
of the firmware change the lang flag to chinese and upload to the camera with tftp using hikvisons tool set?

i have looked at the camera file system via ssh -- i see two copy's of the firmware in /dav0 and /dav1 the file name
is firmware.tar.gz from looking at the profile it appears that is decompressed and mounted at boot -- is the digicap.dav
a patch file for firmware.tar.gz or is it the whole file?

thank you
rob

You mean PTZ 2DF 5284? 2DF is a different firmware than 2CD or 2DE Value series. Dont upgrade it or you will loose SSH access. In 5.3.0 there is a trick to overcome PSH but later this hole was fixed. If you dont need to update - dont do it.

Which means the NVR refuses the EU Firmware. Rebooting and beeping is sign it refuses. Restore with Chinese firmware only.

That's the only CN firmware that seems to be published for your model.

Hi,

I hope someone can assist me. I have read through the threads but have not found the answer. Can i use the firmware 5.1.6 in this thread on page 13 and use the web gui to apply the firmware?

I get the "language mismatch" error when I attempted

Will the same occur if I do it the tftp way?

The serial # I have is CCRR (does this mean chinese version?)

I have 3 cameras to upgrade :

Model DS-2CD2032-I

Serial No. DS-2CD2032-I0120130704CCRR4262053

Firmware Version V5.0.0 130412

Encoding Version V4.0 build 130411
