How to upload videos from Annke AC500 camera to FTP server?

Hello,

I set up an Annke AC500 camera to upload video footages to an FTP server as soon as a human presence is detected. Problem is the camera only uploads series of individual photos to the FTP server... The drop-down menu only shows "Format: JPEG", which I find odd... Has someone had the same problem? I reviewed thoroughly the settings of the cam, but I really don't know what I'm missing... If you have any clue, please let me know!

Thank you.

Sure, here you go. Thank you.
I wonder what the "Video Tampering" tab does. I placed a cloth in front of the camera to see if it was detected as a tempering attempt, but it had no effect... Maybe it detects when the camera itself is unscrewed and opened... Dunno...

I think "Video Tampering" detects if the camera is physically moved/shifted... some cameras have another event "Sudden Scene Change" that would detect something like placing a cloth in front of the camera.

Interesting even with the correct options set still not uploaded any events? Maybe try to change today's event type to full time recording and check if you get full time recorded footage sent to ftp?

I took a look at the uploaded screenshots and thought the same... it seems like everything is set correctly...

Just to confirm, there is no NVR involved?

Also, do you happen to have a memory card in the camera?

OK, I see from the storage acreenshot you do not have a memory card installed.

I never used FTP from my cameras before, but I see this older picture on google:

It has "Upload Type" for the "Upload Picture" checkbox... I wonder if that checkbox toggles between uploading videos OR pictures? Could you try unchecking it to see what happens?

From the in-built help info (not always the most reliable or accurate source) of Hikvision firmware, it suggests it's images that are dropped on to the FTP server :

Task 3: Set the Linkage Method for Motion Detection.

Click Linkage Method and check the checkbox to select the linkage method. Notify surveillance center, send email, upload to FTP/Memory Card/NAS, trigger recording and trigger alarm output are selectable. You can specify the linkage method when an event occurs.

Notify Surveillance Center: Send an exception or alarm signal to remote management software when an event occurs.

Send Email: Send an email with alarm information to a user or users when an event occurs.

Upload to FTP/Memory Card/NAS: Capture the image when an alarm is triggered and upload the picture to a FTP server, local memory card, or network attached storage (NAS).
