I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

shows as 0.8.3 - though the 0.9.0 read me is in the zip files.

just overwrote the files once more, still showing 0.8.3... hotkeys are there and working.

I set the "Low Quality" quality really low by default; you can increase it if you like at the bottom of the Video Streaming options. There are two settings you can tweak.

It occurs to me the new "auto-play" feature, which plays the next clip automatically, is traversing clips in an order that doesn't make much sense. This will change (and be configurable) in the next update.

Awesome, thanks! I feel ungrateful for asking, but maybe I'm just not doing it right... But, when playing alerts (not clips), clicking the 'play next/previous' hot key doesn't move the focus to the next alert.

For example, if I'm in the main index view, with alerts selected on the left, each thumbnail represents an alert - even though each one is from a different camera. So if I pick an alert from camera 1, and then click "next" I would expect it to jump to the next chronologically sequential clip - which is from another camera. Instead, it seems to be stuck within the same alert/camera.

By comparison, when using the stock BI viewer, with the alerts list showing alerts from all cameras, when I go to a specific time/camera and press the up cursor, the focus changes from the current clip, to the next thumbnailed clip - which is usually another camera.

The beauty is if there is an event that is of interest at 8:31:15AM - say a dog pooping in my front yard - and I want to switch to another camera angle AT THAT SAME MOMENT IN TIME, rather than selecting the clips for that alternate camera and the scrubbing to that time, all I have to do is press the up-arrow. The focus changes to the next camera that caught the action at that moment in time. It's like watching a movie from multiple angles, and really makes reviewing enjoyable.

We're sooo close :)

Hmmm. Does it work for you with clips? The hotkey triggers a script that literally finds the currently selected clip tile in the list on the left and then emulates a click event on the next or previous clip tile. So it should not matter if it is clips or alerts in the list. If this script is failing somehow, there may be an error in the console. Press CTRL + SHIFT + I to open the browser's developer tools (F12 instead, if on a Microsoft browser). In there you should find a console window. Once you have this open, refresh the page and take note of any errors. Proceed to play a clip and press the next/previous hotkeys and see if any errors appear at that point.

Also, which browser are you using? I only tested with Chrome so far.

Zoom in/out for notebook users who don't have a mouse with a scroll wheel.

Many touchpads these days simulate a scroll wheel with a two-fingered vertical swipe. But I hear you, and will create those digital zoom bindings, in addition to ptz bindings. For now, I'm thinking for default binds:

Digital zoom in
+

Digital zoom out
-

PTZ up
up arrow

PTZ down
down arrow

PTZ left
left arrow

PTZ right
right arrow

PTZ zoom in
CTRL + plus

PTZ zoom out
CTRL + minus

PTZ presets 1-9
Number keys 1-9

PTZ preset 10
Number key 0

will bind - and + to zoom out and in. I'm also planning to include PTZ commands, which will be the arrow keys for basic movement, the number keys for preset load, and likely (CTRL -) for zoom out, (CTRL +) for zoom in.

Awesome!

I have tried various configs of my touchpad with no success.

I have just uploaded a new version.

v0.9.1 - 2015-09-02
+ Added hotkeys for Digital Zoom, PTZ up/down/left/right, PTZ zoom, and loading PTZ presets. Setting PTZ presets will not be made possible via hotkey, as setting a preset requires a confirmation click.
+ Added an option to the "UI Behavior" category which allows you to reverse the order of automatic clip playback when autoplay is enabled. (autoplay is the new ability for the next clip to automatically begin playing when the previous clip finishes)
+ Added images to some options in the UI2 Configuration panel to help find certain settings and understand their purpose more easily.
* Changed the Next and Previous clip hotkeys so that "Next" means newer, or higher in the list. "Previous" means older, or lower in the list. I had this backwards in the previous release.

I discovered and fixed a bug this morning that prevented the latest UI2 from working with the clip list in Blue Iris 3.66. This update only matters if you are still running BI 3.66 and your clip list stopped working in UI2 within the past month.

v0.9.2 - 2015-09-03
* Fixed the clip list when used with Blue Iris 3.66. This was broken since UI2 v0.8.3.

I just copied over the latest version, refreshed my Chrome, and it started to work. I'm sure it was user error.

Now, for one other question... The 'play next clip' toggle, when enabled, plays the 'next previous' clip. IOW, it is playing the clips from newest to oldest (backwards order). Is there a way to toggle the direction?

Thank you for this custom remote view!! You did a great job. I was about to create a custom one myself but found this and it has everything I wanted and the design is slick!! Keep up the good work!! once again GREAT JOB!!

I was just wondering is it possible to download/ export the clips remotely? Or is this just not possible with BI using the web interface?
