I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

wow, awesome stuff. I am not sure why I waited so long to DL this. Thanks so much! Donated to the cause.

I don't know of anything I ever changed to make video streaming faster (except that my pages are often faster than jpegpull.htm).

Love your UI in Chrome... thanks!

getting this error in IE 11, though:

tried setting it to use compatibility-mode, but nada.
Works fine in Edge.

I'd switch over to Edge, but some things like IE ActiveX plugins for cams don't seem to work in it, but they behave fine in IE.

Try reinstalling the UI2 - that has fixed it for me in the past. Sometimes an update overwrites something important and breaks the UI2.

Thanks folks... clearing my cookies seems to have fixed it.

I tried re-installing just now, but no dice. I discovered that before the error in my screenshot, it was throwing a message about line 5156 of ui2.js. (it was popping up every time i moved the mouse over the window) That's in a function used for the RawH264 streamer... which I thought I'd disabled, but might have been turned on before. Anyway, I guess clearing the cookies removed the related setting on this PC.

Did something happen with the recent BI update? After mine updated I longer show the list of clips on the left. All it shows on the webpage are all my cameras.

EDIT: hmm... it's showing up properly in the EDGE browser but not in Chrome.

hmm... that was weird. For some reason after BI updated the webpage with ui2.htm had all the left info minimized. I just needed to move the slider to the right to see it.

Blue Iris release 4.5.9.3 x64, just downloaded the zip file tonight and extracted it to www. I'm having problems with logging in. With Chrome, saved login, it will log me in anonymously on local network and say "Failed to login" at the bottom in red. When I try with Edge browser [no saved login], I get "Failed to login but Blue Iris did not provide a reason."

Neither of those error messages exist in the UI code exactly as you have quoted them (try to be more careful with that in the future -- it makes text searches much easier).

Regardless, by luck I think I have found the cause of your problem. The web server recently gained a new option "Use Deflate compression" in Blue Iris Options > "Web server - Advanced". If I disable that option, I begin seeing the behavior you describe. You should enable it.

Edit: I was able to reproduce the problem on my own system but it is intermittent and I cannot determine a cause. I will let the Blue Iris developer know about this odd behavior as it likely indicates a bug in Blue Iris.

Unfortunately I have it checked already. But I did I re-check the Use secure session keys and login page and I don't seem to be having the issue anymore. I wonder if the Blue Iris update which rearranged the web server options is causing some sort of disconnect.

I no longer believe that the setting I mentioned above has anything to do with it. Upon further experimentation, this is happening intermittently and with no cause that I can identify. It'll happen multiple times in a row, and then just work for a while.

Same here. For me, I only get it when on WiFi inside of my house. Connecting remotely over LTE, I haven't had it happen.

I'm seeing it remotely over WiFi from my work, I have local network authentication turned off so locally it works fine for me.

After some further testing, I found I got the same error, "Login failed but Blue Iris did not provide a reason.", regardless of which browser I tested. I tried both Chrome and IE11. Another thing I noticed, is that I got the same message even if I put it a known wrong password. So it appears it is never communicating with the password database of Blue Iris.

I'm seeing it locally from my work computer. No issues logging into the Blue Iris software directly or through the Blue Iris Mobile App.
Lucky ... I do get the login error with the Blue Iris iOS app. lol

I can get logged into ui2 but then within 10-15 seconds it says that my session is expired and it's going to refresh. Logs me back in, I get to browse for a handful of seconds, and then session expired.
