I think it auto lands when the battery is low wherever it at so you will have to go locate it and get it, the RTH (Return to Home) feature only kicks in when it lose radio contact to the controller but once you gain the control of it then you can disable the RTH and continue the flight. But you can plug a smartphone or tablet into the controller that will have battery status on display.
it been going around that the RTH feature is causing the fly away where folks are losing their drones and never to find it again. DJI said that it's pilot error something to do about resetting GPS home point.
I don't have Inspire but I have 2 multirotors, a hoverthing for FPVing and a Tarot 6800 Pro for aerial photography.
