I took the dome off and yes there is a small fan just below the lens .it's a 2 pin fan .
 
I have 2 x ds-2de4a220iw-de & they both fail tilt check even with the firmware update I have tried multi power supply's poe and 12v. every time they are mounted on the ds-1605zj brackets they self-check and fail tilt. Then just bounce of the limit looking down. Hikvision needs to sort their shit out.

Has anyone else had success fixing this problem ??
 
Did you order Chinese aftermarket devices or did you order them with a official reseller ?
Chinese aftermarket mostly never got a QC.

Did yours come with the power pack?
 
Hello,

Just received the cams and installed them on the NVR with POE.
DHCP address delivered by the NVR.

I can't seem to find the auto tracking in the NVR menu, or is this only possible in the menu direct in the cam ?
Should I configure the cams with a static IP address from the LAN and connect them to the POE ?
Now they get a IP address from the NVR which is not my internal LAN.

Hello, (again)

I checked the manual an what I understand from it, correct me if I'm wrong.

You need to disable a POE port to add a camera with a LAN IP address.
So you need an alternate POE device for the camera if you would like to have the camera to have another IP address ?

So I can not use the POE from the NVR with a cam that has a LAN IP address instead of a DHCP address from the NVR ?
 
If you camera plugs into the nvr plug and play will take over
If you plug your camera into a Poe switch,in camera management on the nvr
Via vms 4200 manual eg assign its IP address it user name and password
You can only access the camera web pages on the net via camera management just under the system tab
Make sure on the web page for hikvision enable virtual host is ticked that's under network advanced settings-other hit save

Same problem here.
After a reboot of the NVR the 2 PTZ domes have a self-test & tilt fail.
It turns the camera down, up, down up ... like it is stuck.
After a few seconds it stops tilting and I can manually rotate it to the correct location.
 
I have turned off all extra features, changed tilt options reset and factory wiped more than once, now also earthed the bracket and have 90w poe supply with shielded cat 6 and shortened the length to 2m (for testing) also I have used rubber washers to eliminate any chance of movement on the bracket and they still fail tilt check.

However, if I take them off the brackets and put them on my desk they start up every time perfectly.

My dealer has told me I have to contact hikvision support before they will accept any RMA I will let you know how I get on.
 
And there is no cables catching any where I made up a four foot extension to go thro the bracket and into a junction box as once it made this noise just like everyone is saying also I backed off the screw that locks the plate so there was no tightening when you twist it on
 
Updated the NVR to the latest firmware, updated the PTZ to the latest firmware.

Same problem

After a reset / power off the cams starting to do the check and is stuck looking down making a horrible sound.
Watching the live view when this is happening it looks like something is holding the camera itself preventing to do the check.

after 3 minutes of horrible sounds, it stops doing this and I'm able to move it around again, so nothing is mechanically stuck.
and on the other hand if I unscrew it , put it on the table ( dome facing up ) it doesn't have this problem.

Weird.

I contacted Hikvision in the UK to check this out because these cams are a little bit to expensive !!


Also I have troubles at night with the IR.
At night one of the cams is going nuts like it does not know if it is day or night
 
It's the silver plate to the mount I will get one out mine did the same I put some tiny washes under the silver plate to the camera mount also I made a four foot extension on all the wires and into a junction box so there was no binding up
 
So ... the silver plate that is mounted on the camera ( factory install ) is the problem ?
I can not remove it, because I need it to mount the camera

I will grab one out of the box on Saturday and take photos you are using the bracket supplied? It's just a few tiny washers between the plate and bracket not removing the silver plate
