Looking at Dahua rebranded camera - like the Loryta sold by EmpireTech-Andy on Amazon.

What or whose app do you use on your iPhone to remotely monitor these cameras? Dahua's app?
Like Amcrest has a decent app available for monitoring their cameras. What do you use here?

Why are the cameras rebranded? We not just left as Dahua?

Thanks -just trying to figure out the how of monitoring and the why's of rebranding.

Amcrests app is just dahua's app with an amcrest logo. Understand that amcrest in not a camera manufacture, they dont code firmware or apps. They simply rebrand dahua cameras and apps.
Many folks here use software based vms like blue iris to replace an NVR.
There are many mobile apps out there that will let you live monitor the dahua cameras but if you want to view recorded footage off the camera directly you will need the dahua app and it will be slow. Tinycam for android only may let you play back dahua recorded video but I havent played with it in a while.
Whatever you do, dont port forward/upnp or use dahua p2p. See the wiki on securing your network with a vpn.
