Newbie looking for some help

An active injector inserts ~48v dc into the ethernet cable and an active splitter drops the voltage back down to 12v dc for the camera. If you used a passive splitter you would be putting ~48v dc into your camera which would let the smoke out

You could just get an active splitter with the active injector.
If you go the 2 core cable route, go to an auto electrician or electronics store maybe.

Right, I'm currently in B&Q looking at 2core 0.75mm cable. Having looked at a awg converter

0.75 comes out at 19awg. Will that be ok?

So, adamant a wasn't going back on that roof.... I'm not a fan of heights, I binned the extension lead idea from B&Q and purchased the following

He has passive splitters right now. I don't believe they will work with what you propose.

The camera does not need to support it with the PoE active injector at the router / switch end, and the active splitter at the camera end to supply the regulated 12V DC that's needed.

Yes indeed - but I was referring to the TP Link weblink which had both active injector and active splitter for sale, I could have made it clearer.

Further to the above, I removed the passive splitters. Waste of £4
