In the two repaired units I had the following menu enabled and I was kind of curious what the heck it was because on one hand it seemed to be auto tracking feature, but it didn't really do anything, so naturally I've asked Jack:

and he spilled some details "We are doing to prepare the next generation of large-scale MINI PTZ. Increased tracking."
Now, I did ask for a follow up question, but no response yet, being an impatient type I went on my own hunt for info and it was already there, easy to find on Huisun Alibaba site

It may not be a V3, but they have definitely made some updates. Look at the new pan/tilt values. Its a lot bigger also.

You are not the only one... I've provided that feedback with the first cam I bought which was almost year a year now...

Different mounts is a nice touch:

Anyway, would you buy this for $300?

Not me. For 300, I want support. For example a manual that shows the option/operation of the camera. Access to firmware updates.

Maybe in a year or so after they've been proven reliable. $150 down the drain is one thing, but I'd be more cautious about purchasing a $300 camera that hasn't been tested in different locations and weather conditions.

Might be a different story if they had a source in the US where it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to ship the camera in for repair or replacement. :)

Does the cam support POE? Don't see anything about POE in specs.

I like the different mounts. This camera looks very tempting. I think I'd pay $300 for it. Looks about the same weight as my 4 inch Mini Dome Sunba which "only" has 20X zoom. Power requirements are little more with the 12 Volt, 3A specification. But yes, I think I'll be in for one. Thanks for the heads up!

I'd pay $300 local price (+ taxes with warranty) as that's still cheap. It's a bit big for me though.

Crap... where shall I send my money!

Something tells me that -40 to 60 tilt range is a misprint...Guess we'll find out soon enough. The 30X zoom is definitely an improvement, but the mm range of 4.5 to 135 still isn't all that great, as 4.5 isn't wide enough for many applications and 135 is overkill for most applications. A 3 to 90 or 3.5 to 105 would have been much more useful. This one, like the original 10X, is definitely designed for long distance viewing moreso than backyard viewing. Also looks like the shutter is still stuck at 1/25 for the slowest and no wiper...

At $299, not sure that it's worth it for most...For most, they'd probably be better off spending the few dollars difference to get the more sturdy speed dome with 20x zoom.

It's not meant to replace Mini PTZ, just in addition. I guess will have to wait for v3 a bit longer...
