As stated by @wittaj , no O/S included so include Win 10 in your estimate
=OR=
look further for one that includes it.
If you look close at some hp / dell that are sold with no os. you will see the windows sticker on them. it's a roll of the dice. But it might have the windows key embedded into the mother board. Or i have had good luck with cheap keys off ebay. I just bought 1 for $5. and it worked.

Nice !!

I really appreciate you taking the time to try and find me a computer.

I have already ordered this one though

Comparing the two cpus they seem to be very similar. Your computer comes with a newer cpu.
But i only paid $155 for the one I bought. Price not being too much of an issue, but I've been told my purchase will be fine for Blue iris.

I think you did get a good deal. Some 6th gen cpu's will do the h265 encoding. just be shure to look at Memory Leak: Quick Sync (Hardware Acceleration)

it saved me some time .
Very interesting. That link is super useful.

I was informed that my cpu would not be able to do h265 only h264.

Man this website has SO MUCH INFORMATION. I would have never found that link if you had not shared it.

Everyone on this website rocks !!!!

so what cameras are you going to get or have?
and what poe switch?
I was contemplating going with a mixture of 5442 and 2231.

Someone mentioned just saving up and getting all 5442 but Andy is charging like $195 for them.

Next step is researching cameras.

I think 4mp or 2mp is fine. I will NOT chase megapixels / 4k.

What are you running currently?

How do you like It ?
Anything you would change ?

If you started over today and had all your money back, what would you buy ?

I bought this used Cisco WS-C3560X-24P-L Standalone 24 10/100/1000 Ethernet PoE+ 715W AC PSU

For $60.

I will probably just run it as a dumb/unmanaged switch. Networking is not my forte, YET

Yes, that's true.
I've successfully installed and activated about a dozen Win 10 on Win 7 PC's in the last year. They were fresh installs (complete reformat, not upgrade) using the MS Media Creation Tool on USB stick. IIRK, only 2 of those asked for the key on the Win 7 COA sticker, the rest activated with digital license.

And i have 3 of Amcrest 4mp UltraHD Indoor WiFi Security IP Camera Pan/tilt Ip4m-1051b.

And a cisco ws-c3750x-48pf-s.

And a few cheap ebay one's before i found this forum with 10 running 24/7.

then the business bought 20 of the 5442 and 8 of the ptz with 2 poe switches.

If i could go back i would not have bought the cheap cams.

Damn the seller you listed for the 5442 doesn't ship to the usa.

And you got them for $140 which is a nice deal.

We also have similar switches .

How did you get the cams from that chinese seller ?

How do you like the 5442 ?

I love the 5442. The low light color is amazing. The fact that it has all the smart features. Line crossing people counting and more. I would definitely only use Smart cameras. It makes a lot less work for the computer and it's easier to set up in my opinion.
