Update on wife's condition. About 30 hours after taking the drive-thru test at our PCP's office, they called to let us know the entire virus panel was negative. It was a nose/throat swab, and wife says it hit the mark... But, so many of these tests are initially negative when the viral load is low, or the virus isn't present in the sinuses... She's breaking isolation, but not quarantine. That is, she is coming out of the bedroom, but not leaving the house.
Her sats are 96%, which is insignificant, but her's are normally never less than 98. Temp is still hovering at 99.6. Throat remains sore. She has some GI symptoms, and a rash - both of which are apparently not uncommon with COVID. I tell ya, it's enough to make you go bonkers.
We will continue to keep a close eye on it and I'll update here.
BTW, does this thread set some kind of record for hitting 100 pages in 4 weeks? I've never had one that I started go this far this fast.

Sorry Andy but this goes deeply against liberty and freedom if every citizen has to use these cards. Some things I have read coming out of communist Chinese government during this, they are loving highlighting and touting their Authoritarianism.

There's always the freedom to not use the public transport system.
I would have willingly accepted emergency initiative tracking like this to better protect those vulnerable, and the overall economy.
That nice if you have all that ppe. we have shortage here now, because our prime minister sent our equipment reserves to China many months ago. Now hospitals are talking about medical staff having to reuse there n95 masks
I Can buy some masks at the pharmacy now. But not too many stocks, each day can get 400-600pcs, each Pharmacy only have around 100pcs, can't supply thousands in one time. Buy on the market i am worry about fake/bad quality. I already helped guys here bought around 1500pcs N95 masks and donate gloves and glasses with the shipment.

Having watched the talking heads and specifically a couple of highly regarded doctors it was explained that testing isn't high priority anymore and just not all that useful at this point. The purpose of the testing would have been to contain the viral spread but unfortunately the pandemic has been unleashed. In Orlando, the drive through testing is only available to those who exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 AND who are 65 year old minimum. What's the point...just assume they have it and tell them to self-isolate...call 911 if you are in a severe situation that requires hospital intervention.

Exactly this.
One addendum from my perspective: testing a reasonable percentage of cases to track the actual spread (vs flu etc) remains useful, and Gene sequencing a subset of those will be good to follow the mutations and genetic drift of this thing to see if more or less problematic variants crop up. But the thing is out and raging now. >400 deaths yesterday, with several epicenters following New York's trends.

If you could take a snapshot of everyone at the same time and that snapshot could tell us who has it, who had it and who is left then that would be helpful but unfortunately it's just data collection right now of a small sample of the population and not a useful tool to fight the spread at this point. It's whack-a-mole or the little dutch boy with his finger in the dam.
