I haven't seen this in the national news. It's about a golf tournament with ties to Saudi Arabia, competing with the PGA tour, kicking off near Portland, OR.
Coalition of Washington County mayors oppose LIV tourney in Oregon
"U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, and a coalition of mayors in Washington County speak out over the weekend against the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational set to start Thursday."
These lefties are whining about human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia. Without addressing that issue directly, I ask if they truly believe it, why have they not been opposing us sending our money to Saudi Arabia to buy oil? They complain that Saudi Arabia is buying off the golfers with money. Well, doh, its the money that we so eagerly gave to the Saudis. They're willing to mortgage the country for stuff, then whine when it comes back to bite.
