It's kind of interesting that smart people like Bill Ackman or Elon Musk finally seem to have an understanding of what the underlying result is of policies/people they supported in the past. It's like one day the light bulb finally turns on and they realize "whoops, what was I thinking". I'm not sure if it's simply because they are so disconnected and disassociated with the common person, the middle class, the trials and tribulations of average people as they struggle through life. Maybe they see all those not on the high rung like themselves as sheep that need tending. Smart but not smart? When was and what was the epiphany?
