Speaking of MINNESOTA: Comes from Sioux word meaning "cloudy water" or “sky-tinted water,” deriving its name from the river of the same name. Was the name Minnesota authorized by the Dakota Indians which are a part of the two Sioux tribes (Dakota & Lakota)? I don't have kids so maybe y'all can chime in. When I see a parent complain it's "out of control and burdensome' it seems like the parent is disinterested, disconnected or unavailable for their kid. I guess some parents these days don't sit down at dinner time and ask the family how their day went. Maybe if we just got back to the basics we wouldn't have a need for all these permission slips.
