Be sure to chose 4k in youtube player.

Well we have the missing Smart IR in this firmware just as in a couple of other AI cams. It's listed in the spec's, but no where to be found in the firmware settings.

In the night video, the IR is set to Zoom Priority. All settings except time and channel title are at factory defaults. There is an "Auto" IR setting like in other new cams, I will give that a go tonight see if anything is different.

@looney2ns looking forward to assorted nighttime and AI pics from this one. Quick clarification question, do the RJ45 runs come into this junction box horizontally through 1 of the 3 clear rubber grommet holes as well as the option for vertical through conduit ? Just trying to understand install options for this junction box. Thanks as always

Thanks @looney2ns
These new 7 series Ultra AI models look impressive. Prerare to be hammered with tons of questions....
What do you think of the new connection block on the base?
Have you or are you going to set up for ANPR / ALPR?
Can't wait for your video's, love your work!

Cables must go through the grommet-ed holes regardless, then you can choose to run conduit or out the back of the box. That what you mean?

The connection block is nice, I think if one has a need to use all of the interfaces available, wiring could be a challenge inside the junction box.

Once I can get my head wrapped around the correct settings....and there are TONS of them.... I will move the cam closer to the road to test the ANPR and such, as the current location isn't ideal.

@EMPIRETECANDY also graciously sent me an AI enabled NVR so I can hopefully test the metadata portion.
Video hopefully will be up later today.

This review may drag out longer than most, as this old brain doesn't absorb new info as fast as it used to. There is a lot to digest. ;)
